I think BA had similar offers too.
Myself, wife & son got return cattle class Virgin "Freddie Fares" to Oz paying a total of £ 1072.80 (£ 357.60 each).
We bought & paid for the flights on 13 Sep 2005 but actually travelled out during May 2006 & back in June 2006.
I've registered us for the refund - if you don't ask you don't get....
Also if you collect Virgin Flying Club miles you can log on to your account & find the dates of your last 10 transactions.
Any refund we get will be a bonus & might make up for the derisory £ 10 voucher we got from Virgin for an 8 hour delay at Hell-throw due to 'technical' problems or the time BA forgot to load my bag & then took over 3 days to get it to me in USA.:mad:Assume 1st – then check the facts!0 -
I wonder how many of us that were lucky enough to get the amazingly cheap return flights to Hong Kong (Christmas 2004) will register - from memory it was something like £142 return. It says if you flew on BA you can register so.....Hong Kong Feb 05...both hubby and I have registered....cos that would mean that an amazing deal a couple of years ago just got even better.0

Can you claim if you bought and paid...but didn't fly? Hubby and I bought Freddy Fares to Aus and were due to fly April 06. I didn't buy the insurance offered with the tickets (cos being an MSEr I knew I could get it cheaper elsewhere). Later that same week I was taken ill and needed surgery for cancer (which I knew nothing of prior to that)....so travel insurance wouldn't have covered that cos by then it was an existing condition. After that I couldn't go because of illness and so we cancelled, but the terms and conditions meant that there was no refunds.0

I can't see why not, logically. You paid the fuel surcharge after all.Says James, in my opinion, there's nothing in this world

WORRYING DP BREACH
Hi everyone,
I entered my personal details onto the site mentioned, hit submit and found myself looking at another claimant's personal details, including her full name, address, telephone number and email address. I went 'back' hit submit again to get my details entered and then had another man's personal details flag up on the screen.
WHAT IS GOING ON??? And what guarantee have I now got that someone else isn't going to have access to MY personal details??
Someone please advise urgently. There is no direct number on the airpassengerrefund website to contact a human. As far as I am concerned they are now in breach of my personal data protection (and the other two people's whose contacts I have incidentally kept).

Thanks for any advice0 -

Did you ask Virign at the time about refunds? My boyfriend was supposed to come with me, but had to cancel about a month before. We didn't get any of his fare back but we got all of the tax back, about £140 IIRC. (I went on my own - still had a great time!)0 -

Hi and thanks for replying - this number is only for telephone registrations - there is still no opportunity to speak to a human!0 -
Hi
The data protection breach doesn't sound good. I suspect its as this site was set up at mega speed to capture peopel when the publicity was hot; and therefore there are some glitches.
I know you've emailed us about it here - but there's very little i can do to help on this one I'm afraid; I have no clout here.

I registered my details as soon as this appeared on the weekly email and have never heard anything more. I didn't get a confirmation email. Has anyone heard anything from this yet?MS Stalwart.
