At long last I think I've found a glitch to give a little back to the thread!

I've just placed an order online, I found that if you purchase 4 of this cotton wool roll, normally at £3.15 each, HERE but is currently included in the 2 for £2! so a great buy anyway, the checkout gives the extra 200 points for a £10 spend on baby products, yet you only really spend £4!

    Bargain!

    HTHS! :D

    (I bought 8.... I couldn't resist!:o)

Your right, I just tried, although I don't think I want to buy any lol

    x

Add in other stuff, you get more points OMG!!! Just added 8 of BOGOF of the £1.20 talc and got another 200 points total so far is £12.80 with 600 points!!!
  • I also found a working code for 750 extra points on a £50 spend elsewhere on the www, but which expires on 26th Feb..... will post code on proper board in case it can help anyone.... :D

Just returned from Boots, having done 4 separate transactions so got 4 illu powders + 4 GWP + 4 more £5 vouchers back - spent over £10 in each transaction.

Handed over an extra points ACM voucher for 75 points on a £10 spend, it scanned (didn't hear any bleeps) and they haven't gone through. I have just got my points for a normal shop. Can anyone confirm whether this is right that because I used free illu voucher and got the free GWP, that I wouldn't get the extra points. If you think I should have got them then I will email CS as i've just missed out on £3 of points.
2016 is the year I am going to find time for me, and cherish the time I spend with my friends and family.
It is also time to save - Aim £4,000 - So far this year - £230/£4,000

I did this transaction about a week ago... NO7 mask & illum powder & GWP, not only did I use a 75 points for £10 spend, also used a 250 points voucher from previous GWP, £5 NO7 voucher & £5 PC voucher, all went through fine & showed on receipt, so don't see why you shouldn't have got the extra points. I did disguise it all with a couple of other bits! I'd give CS a ring & query it. HTH.

Thanks, i'll give them a call.

NB. Just rung and the guy has very kindly added 300 points to my card for the fact they didn't scan, so it is worth chasing any missing point that don't scan on a total spend.

I'm sorry I just need to voice my opinion on this

As a new Bootser I often read on here that people feel like criminals obtaining the glitches and offers, I must admit I too feel the same. Comments are made about SA's acting as though the money we save is coming directly out of their pockets and we don't like the way we have been treated but after reading this post I am not surprised this is happening. Ok I tend to think Mr B knows what he is doing most of the time afterall I didn't shop in Boots until the Highlighter now I have spent loads so he has managed to get me and probably a lot more like me through the door. I now feel for the SA's, they must have loyalty to their employer and when people bantatly take stuff back just to make "at least £200" I'm not surprised all Bootsers are now tarred with the same brush
If you've only been shopping in Boots since the highlighter promotion, then you don't know anything about the Time Delay fiasco. Please feel free to check back to early 2006, where you'll find all the information.

As someone who used to regularly post on the Boots thread, I've seen the soapbox brigade before. Some posters feel they should justify their actions to others, even though they've done nothing wrong and are simply taking full advantage of Boots' stated trading policy.

I'm not one of those posters. :)

I'm all for a bargain and love glitches but taking the"free" items back for a refund is plain wrong. Whilst this is a money saving site, its about taking advantage of loopholes etc not blatant theft.

This thread is one of my favourites, it gives advice, reviews, makes me smile and has a good feel about it- things like this spoil it. Can we not stick to the offers and glitches and leave the theft aspect out of it?

Probably get shot down now, but we are all entitled to an opinion. I thought it was funny last night reading about all the highlighters but it doesnt seem like that now.
DaisyFlower, taking full advantage of coupons/special offers and Boots' own trading policy is not deemed theft.

This soapbox attitude is one major reason why alot of the old Bootsers no longer regularly post here. :)
