But to get the highlighter free they have to spend money so it is not like they are stealing.

The point is the freebies and £5 voucher make people spend more money.

I spent a bit in January because of the spend £5 and get a till spit for £5 off certain brands. But I was buying presents for the year and just split my transaction. And it allowed me to get items that I would need during the rest of the year.

I have none of the £5 no 7 vouchers because I have not spent £10 in one transaction but over a couple of transactions because they have been clearance items.

Boots do know what they are they doing. If the till allows it then I can't see a problem.

As long as people are not stealing don't see the problem.
    Yours Calley

I never said people were stealing the highlighters, I suggest if you're going to quote me at least get it right.

This is what I was actually referring to

    Hi stranger :)

I know it's sometimes a controversial subject on here, but as you've got so many, have you thought about returning them to swap for something else?

Or even better, see if the SA will give you a cash refund? Say the dog chewed your receipt or something!

Like I said a glitch is a glitch and great if you get a bargain from it. Suggesting that the highlighters are returned for a cash refund in my opinion is theft as they were a free item that wasnt paid for. Yes, you have to pay for one item to get it but the item was still free.
As for the soapbox, sorry but you dont own this thread or site. People are entitled to their own opinion and morals whether or not all the "bootsers" agree.
Maybe thats why I find it so "cliquey" at times, obviously am not part of the "bootsers".

This thread was always so different from the rest and thats why a lot of us are drawn to it, its a bit more personal, people swap vouchers etc and now its getting tainted or those that dont agree with the majority get put down in the hope we will go away quietly.

Yeah, mine was the one ending in 2279 and it didn't work. :(
  • probably old news to you bootsers :D but john frieda blonde colour glaze(honey to caramel) down to £1, and also goes through as 3for2. so £2 for £21 worth at full price (when not on offer) or £14 when on 3for2. this was at stevenage roaring meg store.
Wins since June: iPod shuffle 1gb, Samsung g800, cinema ticket, lush retro giftbox, 2x mp3 downloads, a big box of food (???)

I don't think they will swap them for you since they're cosmetics.
I'm sure that they will swap skincare, but they aren't obliged to exchange cosmetics.
I wouldn't take them back if it were me, but each to his(or her!) own. I've got one of each colour for me, and a peach one for each of my Mum, bf's Mum and my sister.

Thanks for pointing that out-I forgot it was just skincare .Yes you are right-wipes, cleanser, toner , eyemakeup are all very affordable with the vouchers and the points give you more than what you spend back!:)

Many thanks for the replies Sonee and IlonaRN ;)

I shall indeed do that Sonee ... I love their masks but am in need of probably the exfolliators, cleansers etc. I am using the Aldi Siana (Night/Day cream) at the moment which I think is working well.

So I can use a £5 No7 pink voucher and the 250 points voucher together? .. sorry for being dim and I expect it has already been mentioned :o

Many thanks once again ladies :A

Yes, you should be able to.

It's probably best to hand over the points voucher first. It might also work better at a non-No7 counter, though I'm sure it should work at the No7 counter too if the sales assistant is nice!
