hey bet your place isn't as bad as the ones on TV that Kim n Aggie are tackling:eek:  Do you think people really live like that or do they let it get a bit worse than normal before the cameras arrive??
A BIT worse!!!!! There's years and years of mess and filth.:eek::eek: Some people have no shame - my house is a palace in comparison and I wouldn't let tv cameras near it in case people criticised it. Obviously there are some people so desperate for their 15 minutes that they will do anything for it.0 -
(((HUGS))) for Justamum you are certainly not a failure. If AD's are the right thing for you then take them. If you had a hurt back or broken leg you'd take medication to help you get better, this is no different. It's great that you have someone to talk to, would it be worth asking the GP if there is someone they can refer you to for counselling.
Been a busy morning mentally here done no flying though *ducks Pigpen's flying mules* but I do have to make sure we have enough pants and socks ready for school next week. A case of sorting them all out and pairing the socks, I HATE PAIRING SOCKSOfficial Mascot and Chief Cheerleader for the 'Mortgage Free in Three' Gang0 -

galantvr4 well done, I didn't realise your partner haddn't stopped, that's how I ended up restarting last time because DP did, keep it up, I'm sure the nasty symptoms will pass soon.
tinsel, hope the party went well and he had a lovely birthday. You're definately braver than me exercising in public, that said I bought a water backpack think last week in costco so I can go out with DP on my bike, I haven't even sat on it for over 7 years, it was only used a few times and looks brand newgoing to try and get out some time next week around study time
pigpen ((hugs)) hope the back doesn't give you too much pain today.
JustaMum (I hate typing that because being a Mum isn't Just that) AnWsMum is right, also are you consulting with your GP/specialist to come off them? For most there is a specific way set out to come off them, my last ones I think it was missing one a few for a few weeks, then 2 etc I've been on them several times, not easy coming back off them. As for the printers, cartridges can be bought cheaper online or refilled etc, just unfortunately part of the throw away society we live in where people aren't bothered about throwing a whole printer away. I usually get epson or canon printers because HP and Lexmark cartridges are expensive.
AnWsMum, yes wear them in the house first, I tried wearing my old party shoes last week to go out, thought I best try in the house first, well I decided after the indoors experience it was a bad idea and maybe next time. I am with you on the hating pairing sock, I have a basket full if you finish yours and get bored
Well I've done, nothing so far. Ok well actually I have loaded the DW and started it. I have screamed at my FF which is displaying the same stupid error messages again, engineer last time said nothing to worry about and the stuff is still frozen but I'm starting to fret a bit now as it's packed to the door! I've just done a 2 week meal plan based on it's contents so can't afford for it to go off. Kinda scary how little I need in addition to feed us all for 2 weeks, list so far is napisan, eggs, milk (delivered) fruit, veg & spuds...oh sonic/woody will need some live food aswell, so fingers crossed I can save a little this month from grocery budget. Thing is I am a nightmare for overbuying/stocking up on stuff and I know I will find it hard to resist buying more, but I am thinking if I avoid the big supermarkets for 2 weeks and just shop at the local F&V shop and the coop, I might manage it better. I could do without having to go shopping because of time aswell (coop and F&V shop I walk past daily taking DS to school) so this might be good in more ways than one.One day I might be more organised...........

Hugs to Justamum! You have to do what is right for you and as AnW puts so perfectly (as usual:A ) if you had a broken arm etc you would take the medicine.
Working again today but determined to get all these files I have had left for me on the system so I can do this to the full time "week-time" worker!
Littles at nannies and will be coming back in pjs so should be asleep so plan when I get home is:-
Attack the garage:eek: , Once sorted move the xmas tree that is boxed under out bed back to its home out there! We also need to rejig so we can get the treadmill up a running (no pun intended:D ), will then have to come up with some other excuse not to use it:o .
Then attack the paperwork! DH already sorting some of it whilst I am at work, now have mobile bills coming on line rather than paper, everything else is already on-line, only problem with this is when you need a utility as proof of id.
Right best crack on with these files, maybe a coffee first;)0 -
they also refuse to empty if the lid won't shut which tends to happen when you have 2 boys in pull ups/nappies and haven't had a bin emptied for 2 weeks!
I'm sorry, but I just don't understand the mentality behind this rule. So they don't empty the bin or take extra bags, so you end up with more bags which they won't remove and eventually you have your own personal landfill site! What is the reasoning behind not emptying a bin with the lid slightly open? Don't they have to open it to empty it anyway? Often the wind will blow the lids open - do they refuse to empty them then? What is your Council Tax for if it doesn't cover the emptying of bins? We're lucky, we still have the weekly collection and they take any extras you leave out.0 -
Morning but now afternoon all
Not long come back from a long walk in the park with my foster dogs, they are both asleep now but i think they wore me out the most so i may go and have a nap. I'll then have a cuppa and finish off the kitchen, i just cannot be bothered to do anything yet.
Wake me up in an hour please, thank you0 -
shell I've waited before putting the bills onto paperfree because we needed one in each name for the change of address with costco, it does concern me a little about things like that but once our driving licences etc come back hopefully we won't need them.
Justamum there is no sense, I end up taking basic rubbish to the tip often because of the rules, where my sister lives they have a smaller bin and only fornightly collections so the amount of rubbish around the streets up there, especially as for some it's too much effort to recycle, is horrendous, it stinks! I think if the wind blew it open they'd still check to make sure it shuts. They have said these measures are in place to encourage recycling etc but the council only have facilities for paper, cans and glass, surely it's more costly to the enviroment when people have to use their own cars to go to the tip every week to get rid of excess waste. I have contacted them on countless occasions, they offered to remove 3 extra bags per week if I paid £10 a week. They can get stuffed! One day I might be more organised...........

On the ID side of things you should be ok providing a council tax bill for change of address for everyone. It will be the next millennia before the council tax bills go paperless!Official Mascot and Chief Cheerleader for the 'Mortgage Free in Three' Gang0

Doh I never thought of Council Tax bills! They have both names on aswell don't they
I just want to cut down the amount of paperwork I have to sort and filelazy moo aren't I. BT ones a bonus with them giving a discount.
Hmmm, I haven't done anything else, oh how completely lazy of meDS2s said he wants to help me do something (because they earn money for it) so I might just set him away with the socks sorting, saying that last time I ended up doing most of it myself because of the amount of black socks we have etc. I suppose he could do some cleaning in the kitchen, he likes doing to door fronts....
One day I might be more organised...........
