Hey guys, how's the dissertation stuff going? I've got mine all set up, but am needing to get participants to answer some personality questions and do some sudoku. Do you reckon anyone would mind/take part if I posted a thread about it?

I am actually at the point of major panic - I wanted all my data collected by now! I've only just started! Haha. :mad:

Just waving to you all and saying hi - in the midst of my lit review at moment for phd and its just like pulling teeth - Miss L am sure someone won't mind you posting here, if they do they will soon tell you!!!
Major panic is my middle name - thinking about actually changing my name to it. x
ps I'd do a personality test if you like - not sure I will do very well....pm me if can be of any use.

My motivation was that i was so scared of getting a 2:2 (i was on track for a 1st), as the many grad jobs required a 2:1. Just keep working, take breaks as soon as you get bored, aroubd 5-10 mins (it was lots of me as i have mild ADD) . or switch to another assignment.


One tip refrence as you go, as you cannot miss a reference out!!!!!!\


(Before people start to berate me for being scared of having a 2:2 - i left school with 1 C, i was labled thick by some teachers and i was only diagnosed with Dyslexia and ADD in my final year!!!!!)

I'm really struggling with my dissertation, which is due in next tuesday Feeling like such a failure. I don't know what to do anymore.

I'm feeling a lot better about the dissertation now the ball is rolling with collecting data. Still vastly behind my own schedule, but I'm going to start writing my introduction after my exam next week (eek! fear!).

:hello: hello everyone! just found this part of MSE - i need motivation! My dissertation is due in May, but haven't started yet - due to my course being so busy (training to be a teacher). Spent all of nov and dec teaching, but now i'm back to the realities of uni and need to get a move on, especially as i have 3 presentations, 4 assignements, three exams and a project in a school to do aswell!! Argh!! good luck to everyone working on dissertations - keep going

Hi guys,
Just found this thread and think it may provide me with a lot of motivation in the coming months!
I didnt realise that everyone had different dates for their dissertation to be in, i though it was the same for every uni!
Mine is due in may, and at the minute i have a draft of my literature review but am quite worried about it! Can anyone help me? I have a long list already of references, but my question is : is there a guideline for the number of papers etc you should include within your lit review?
Alot of my coursemates seem to have done more than me, but then on the other hand alot also seem to have done a lot less than me so im a bit confused!!

My dissertation is due in at the end of next month and im only 2000 words in and they are not much cop.

I wish I could just sit and do it but I simply sit there with a blank mind. Any other nursing students out there going throught the same thing.

Oh to top it off I have two essays due in 3000 words each at the same time as well as placement . Will I ever finish
