Not helped by being a mum, and on full-time placement to boot. On the plus side tho, it's only 10,000 words, still feels impossible tho.

See I feel guilty when there are people who have other demands on their time and I have nothing really that requires my time yet I still can't do it!

Agh, we've all got stuff, and having more time doesn't necessarily make it easier--well, apart from the last few panic days, when having commitments really sucks:rolleyes:--a situation that could have been avoided if I'd got my act together earlier:D .

Is being last-minute usual for you? Some people just seem to need the pressure, and hey you did 150 words, better then nowt:p

I cant wait till been handed in so i can get stuck into my revision, I have 4 exams in total and thanks to the powers that be i have 3 in 3 days.... I swear i dont know what the people sorting out exam timetables are doing...




I think if we give thanks to each other we will make it through?

my deadline is the 28th morning, which means i need to finish it on the 25th anyway so i can get it bound! they really dont think...

My deadline is 20th May, last draft by 6th May though..looks like loads of time but with comittments....

I often find that the busier I am the more I get done because you know you don't have much time so you make an effort to squeeze in the tasks you need to do. Whereas when you have lots of time you just waste it!

Yeah last-minute is usual for me! My deadline is the 25th but want it done by 23rd for bounding. I did 300 words in the end today, bringing me up to a grand total of about 3500 out of 10000. I really am not going on well! Then when that is done I have 2 essays to do and 3 exams to revise for! I just can't wait for the dissertation to be in, the essays and exams I don't mind!

How did everyone get on today in the end?

well im back. after a horrific case of writers block i finally managed to get started and am only 3 weeks behind my intended schedule :eek: :shhh: i am now just under halfway through writing up, and am finally feeling like i am getting somewhere.

i wanted to ask you all about the guidelines you have been giving regarding the presentation of your dissertation. all that is expected of us is that it is in good academic form. well if i cant achieve that after 3 and a half years of a degree, i ought to be rounded up at dawn and tortured! im ok with the size 12 TNR font, double spaced, referenced with the havard system etc aspects but what the hell do i do for a front cover? do i number my pages? if so, which corner? do i put my student number and dissertation title as a header or leave it blank? i dont *have* to bind it - all i have to do is ensure that it is handed in in a 'secure' manner so that pages dont get lost. any ideas where i can get a really big paperclip?! (or more serious suggestions about how best to present my labour of 'love' :rolleyes: lovehate more like )

god can i join? I've got 6,300 words out of 12,000 and just can't be bothered! I mean, this is SO important for my degree (worth 25% of my overall mark) and I just don't want to do it anymore. I also have two other essays to do, all before next week! argh!
