not finished mine yet, but have been slaving away.
Have written about 7K of the 18K required. So i feel i've made some headway.0 -
I keep feeling ill worying about my dissertation, I have only done 1000 words of my 10000 word dissertation, and that is mostly made up off the stuff I put in the proposal. It is due in 7th May, which leaves me about a month and is enough time to get it done BUT this is the problem. I struggle to work if I'm not under pressure and when I sit down to work I just get preoccupied and bored, the pressure I'm under seems not to be enough! I can just see myself on the 6th May running round like a raving loony trying to get it all done in time for the deadline; you would think that this is motivation enough! xMoney, money, money - why does it exist??0

I think I'm finished. But it's still three weeks til deadline. I'm very confused really. I've never finished a piece of work this early before. But i have nothing more to add and I've addressed everything my tutor pointed out when he read over it for me.
It's very disconcerting:rotfl:
Well done sali-mali, stop worrying and just enjoy the feeling:j
I'm still at 3,000/10,000 words, final draft due end of April, but have done lots more research the last few weeks/days (time's a bit of a blur), so feel quite positive.
I feel that I have more of a handle on what I need to do, which is always the biggest struggle for me, but we'll see.
Good luck to everyone else, we will get there:rolleyes: and will:jAnytime;)0 -

I have about 2,000 words out of 10-12,000 words, but that 2,000 is utter drivel! Mine is in 25th April so earlier that yours. I know what you mean about working under pressure. I've been sat here this evening doing nothing. Had I worked I could of got about 500 more words done but I haven't.
Well done Sali - stop moaning and enjoy the feeling of having finished!
Well done on the progress everyone else!Student MoneySaving Club member 017!0 -
wooo!! talking to my friends was getting me depressed coz they are all already at 15000 words out of 18000 or just spell checking etc, and i am at 5000 with 2 and a half weeks to go but it is great to see other people in my shoes who think they can do it too!!0

Come on everyone, this is the last stretch and then we'll be FREEEE!!
*Ahem*... apart from exams but forget them for a minute
Anyone who's struggling, go for a 5 minute walk outside, get some fresh air and clear your head, then buckle down again. And nobody panic, there's still loads of time to get it done :T
I'm in a good mood today (for a change!) so I'll be the resident cheerleader! :jTotal abstinence is so excellent a thing that it cannot be carried to too great an extent. In my passion for it I even carry it so far as to totally abstain from total abstinence itself. Oscar Wilde0 -
Well done, all previous butt kicking must have worked-now motivate all the others!Blackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?
Still lurking around with a hope of some salvation:cool:0 -
thanks to some motivation, tips and help from people on here (thanks deanlr55) I have managed to write 4,500 words in the past few days. I knuckled down and got on with it and boy does it feel good knowing that all (!!!!) I have to do now is make it read better, fill in some gaps, add some references, spell check it, make corrections where necessary, print it and bind it!!!! and with a couple of weeks to spare....it can be done:beer: Grand total = 175 pages and 43,500 words (mainly in appendices and tables I hasten to add - word limit actually only 10,000)0

I could do with some dissertation motivation too - if anyone has any spare!!!April Grocery Challenge £81/£1200

Hey how's everyone doing today? It's all gone quiet on this thread... either everyone's working hard or there have been a lot of nervous breakdowns...
I'm back in the library today. On a Saturday, rubbish. Exams are looming so I've started revision. I'm bored already (only been here 2 hours!) so thought I'd see how everyone else is getting along?Total abstinence is so excellent a thing that it cannot be carried to too great an extent.
