Wow thanks for the offer Meema, that's really kind of you! I'm going to give my lecture later to my sister because she's sort of my target audience so she should be able to help me cut some chunks out, but thank you for that anyway :D

Hope everyone else is managing to stay on track with theirs :)

You're welcome - hope it's going well...I've had SUCH a lazy sunday..still in my jammies without having done a scrap of work!!!

Thanks Meema, I'll try the writing down bit, a timetable is more difficult as I'm on full time placement at the moment (dissertation is due in the middle), so it's a case of whatever times I can squeeze in around kids, etc. (tho I do have a study day each week, so it could be worse), I think school Easter hols are adding to my gloom, (I forgot about them:eek: ) as my planned trip to the British Library has to wait, and I've been disorganised with ordering lit review articles.

(that said I have a fab OH who is really helpful--well he is now anyway:lipsrseal so things could be much worse)

Good tip too about remembering why I picked the topic--the degree is no prob, as I'm passionate about my field, but the topic--now that I think about it, pretty fascinated with that too, so thanks for reminding me:A

My dissertation, 10,000 words, is due 20th May, and final draft end of April, OUCH:eek:

    Glad you're managing to have a (I'm sure very well-earned) lazy day--enjoy:D
    Anytime;)

I wouldn't worry, when you posted that I had only just got up. Actually no, I thought it was that time but actually discovered when I switched the computer on that it was an hour later, stupid daylight saving!

    AMES!! DO SOME WORK !!!:angry::D

    Like that? :p

I know what you mean, I don't need an excuse to do nowt, believe me, but am hitting panic mode now, and geting really worried (AKA the point where I get my @!* in gear and get on with it), so there's hope for me yet.

Words--bout 3,000 so far, I think, need to be edited etc, but are written as such. How far are you?
    Anytime;)

I *love* the British library (what a geek)! It's the best place in the world for me to concentrate, I go there all the time. If there's any articles you desperately need let me know, I'm going tomorrow.

I got really embarrassed there last week...y'know how they search your bag on the way in..I'd forgotten about the litre and a half bottle of Jack Daniels in my bag..Security guard pulled it out and started cheering..they wanted me to join them on their break :embarasse

Anyway...although it's good to panic a little bit, 7000 words by end of April is definately do-able!!!!! So well done!

Though I know it must be extra hard with kids and placement. I do placements too but have a couple weeks off just now to work on my thesis..fingers crossed get more done than I have over the weekend (nothing!!).

Still in my jammies....but will get dressed and start working after this coffee! Good luck!

(p.s. just to clarify - i'm not still in my jammies from the other day)

Meema - Seen you got 25000 words to do, have you just got the writing to do now, or still got research to do?

Jay11 - I have about 1000 words, that is it. I am so behind. Was very worried about it in bed last night, couldn't get to sleep, which meant I got up late today.

Can someone help me with getting up early please? I know this is a basic thing to most people, but i'm sure you all know how lazy some students are!
    Thank you!
