Hi all - welcome Ben and good luck Keren!
I really don't like Valentine's Day, the only boyfriend who ever made a fuss about it was the possessive controlling one, so I'd rather not get anything! Going for a drink with OH later though I don't think he actually knows what date it is :rotfl:Debt@16.12.09 £10,362.38, now debt free as of 29.02.2012."I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better."0 -
Have to say redsquirrel, I'm kind of with you there. It's all very commercialised now and to be honest I'd be happy for my OH to offer to cook dinner (anything would be good!!!) My ex's birthday is on the 15th and when we first got together we did the whole Valentine's conveyor belt dinner out thing and after a few years we went out the next night on his birthday instead and the restaurants would be empty!
As I think there is more chance of me winning the lottery than him doing dinner, I'm doing it instead (and I don't do the lottery so you can probably guess the kind of odds we're talking about).
I might use those 'free' chocolates as dessert that should arrive from John Lewis today after panettone-gate yesterday. I got a tracking number from them and it says 'loaded on van' at my end already!!! The guy who delivers though is a right jobsworth. No amount of 'leave parcel at back door' notes will ever persuade him to do that and he always arrives between 11.30 and 12pm - just when I'll be out at my interview. I'll leave a big note asking him to at least leave with a neighbour.
Right, time to start to make myself look presentable in a few minutes. I have to be there for 11.45 and it takes a whole..........oooh, 2 minutes to drive there so I can get ready without too much rush."Stay Wonky":D

hello everyone, i've still got my cold so i'm glad for a day off work.
good luck for your interview Keren hope you get it.
I was up until 1am this morning making OH a mini scrap book of the things i love about him, i've got to finish it today before he arrives. At least all the page are laid out i just need to do all the journalling and add a few piccies.
It's my first proper valentines and tomorrow is mine and OH first anniversary so we're celebrating that more than today.0 -

Hi folks, just joined although been using the comp thread in past to enter competitions - no luck yet. My wife and I got married 17 years ago today and I admit to buying cards and also waiting on a delivery of flowers for her. We know how much we love oneanother but the hype around valentines is as bad as every other marketing scam, easter, mothers/fathers day etc etc. I sound like a right moan. Speak soon.0

I downloaded the PDF version of the form, so I will have a copy saved on my computer, but I'll remember to back it up onto a disc too, thanks. (And I'll print an extra copy for Ryan's file too)

They ask you to fill them in all over again Snags, the length of award varies. I got it for a year first, then three yearsNo longer using this account for new posts from 20130
