HAPPY VALENTINES DAY!

How's everyone doing this morning? I'm in the clutches of a full blown cold and really not feeling very romantic at all.. what's everyones plans for today? Apparently Ste's going to cook me a meal tonight which will be nice. We haven't got each other presents and our cards were free with a photobucket deal :rotfl:

Awww, romance isn't about spending money on crappy bits of cardboard and half dead roses anyway (flowers look much lovelier still in the ground anyway.....or at least that's what Stu tells me... :rolleyes:).

It's about the little things - taking the time to say something sweet, put someone first, make life that little bit nicer for each other.

Or am I just a soppy cheapskate?

i had a 'discussion' with a friend yesterday about valentines day it started with her asking if i had bought dh anything yet my answer "what for?

she said valentines day so it basically went why after 12 years of marriage do we both need a card to show each other we love each other

i'm dead romantic me

i would rather have a new top than flowers that are guaranteed for 7 days end up in the bin after 5.

Hi artnoble, welcome to the madhouse - I think I've seen you around on some of the other threads

Can't see my OH doing anything - he never has done yet for Valentine's!! I've got him a small wooden box and it has love heart sweets and heart shaped jellies and some other bits and pieces in it. I'll leave it on his front door step later I did have a tiny glimmer of hope last night when the Asda advert for Valentine's champagne and chocolate was on and it mentioned the Piper Hiedeseck and I purposely went..oooooh,Piper Hiedeseck:D (I like it!) and he said 'is that a good one??' and I kind of nonchalantly went yes, and 'it's at a great price!!!!':rotfl:

The chances of him buying it for me??? 0% :rolleyes:

Got my interview at 11.45am for the council.

I've decided to pull out of the one on the 19th. I know in my heart it isn't the job for me and aside from the presentation at the interview, it basically seems to contain most of the bits of my previous jobs that I didn't enjoy so there is just no point in going for it just for the money.

im sat at my desk at work. i'd love a comfy chair about now.

thinking about putting my exercise bike on ebay but wondering if i can be bothered with the hassle fees etc. i know sometimes you can make a few quid if you have something decent to sell .............. i could do with the money to be honest as the OD neeeeeds to go next month.
