  • Not bored at all, I know what you mean about clearing your head. Funnily its why I finally started my own diary to have somewhere to put my ramblings, frustrations etc.

I presume your using the snowball calculator? Great news with Bingo. Ive had no luck so far but only tried three sites so far.

its now standing at march 2011...

also just added up my debt at LBM and realised it was £21230.. now its £16241.48 so ive paid off 23.5% since LBM (april 2007) which is pretty good!!

Wow, that's a really good amount you've cleared in under a year. Hope you get a decent bit of cash from all the ebaying! I'm gutted too that the bingo is finished - at least we've still got the £1 sites!
  • Although I have been reading the boards for over a year I have never actually posted before. I just wanted to say well done on your progress.

I am not personally in debt but am hoping to retire next year and have been reading the boards for tips on living on a reduced income. I have been in debt, about 35 years ago, when credit cards first started. In those days there were restrictions on where you could use them (were not allowed to be used for grocery shopping or paying bills) even so we managed to notch up £2000, mainly on DIY projects, which was a large amount in 1972. I was lucky enough to have an endowment policy which I surrendered early and cleared the cards.

I now only use a credit card for convenience and make sure I have the money to clear the balance each month.

I think your 20's are the ideal time to become DFW, keep going the way you are, 2012 will be here very quickly and you will feel very proud of what you have achieved.
    Good Luck, Sandie
