ok i need a rant!!!!
my mate is very well off and is constantly rubbing my nose in the fact that he has money and i have debt! he makes comments such as "i couldnt live with myself if i had debt" and takes the mickey outta me because i cant afford a house and he can.
what really annoys me is he has never worked for his cash! his dad owns a pretty successful business and he works for him and gets paid a shedload just for being the bosses son! He doesnt understand the value of money and it drives me mad when ive gone through uni and came out with £20k of debt and cant even get a decent job!!!
sorry if i offend anyone its just depressing me!Aug £10 a day £0/£10000 -
It is really difficult, isn't it, when friends simply don't understand.......when friends say that they are hard up, and you *know* that their definition of hard up is nothing like yours etc.
That is why I have taken refuge in this site......almost EVERYONE here knows what I mean when I say I am skint!!
Good work on the bingo though!!Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -

hey, here I am nosying away (is that a word?!) anyway... I know how you feel about friends, in my case its my OH he earns literally twice as much as I do and thats before commission! thankfully he doenst try to rub it in that much, and as Hypno says thats why we are here! because we understand each other.
I never thought about having set NSDs. Just try each day not to spend money but I think you might be on to something there... I'm going to do Mon, Tues and Thurs as I normally meet up with friends on a Wed.
Well done on the bingo! Where did you find how to do all of that?

hey all
just thought i would add a quick update...
today has been a weird day in ways not sure if its good or bad. I knew that i had a default on my credit rating from my dmp but ive only just found out today that its on my record for 6 years and i wont be able to get any credit at all until then and the chances of getting a mortgage look pretty doubtful even when i can afford it. I dont know why ive only just found this out now and not earlier like.
its bad because im only 22 and still living at home with no chance of being able to get a decent mortgage til i'm 27!!but its good because it'll stop me getting debt once im debt free because i'll be debt free before the default lifts. still confused tho!
spoke to student loan company today and thats all ticking over fine so it can effectively be forgotton as it comes out with tax...
Got really stressed last night and decided i need to limit my worrying about money. I'm gonna aim to pay off my hsbc debt asap then leave the 0% stuff to run its course on the payments i normally make coz its costing me nowt. Car and other loan cant be overpaid either so they'll have to just run...
anyway hope i havent bored anyone just need to clear my head..Aug £10 a day £0/£10000
