Anyone switching to Eon may be interested to know that the following cash back site is offering £60 cash back for opening a dual fuel a/c: http://www.topcashback.co.uk/retailerdetailPowergen_:_E.ON_(Domestic).htm

I think Quidco is £70.00 (less £5.00 if you havn't already paid it).

    regards

I've been on E.ON energy online extra saver 5 for six months or so and energyhelpline.com agreed they are due to rise. If they were holding these prices Martin would be telling us to switch to them fast.

I checked the prices on E.ON's website - they are the same as on energyhelpline.com and my last bill and very likely on agreement letters, if they are wrong that's E.ON's problem I'm not wasting my time phoning them.

I don't think you could have been on the online saver 5 for 6 months as I understand that v4 was only created in January and v5 in February (the 7th from memory). But I could be wrong.

  • I've been through the online sign up and they won't recognise my bank details. If I post them the DD form will it still track through Quidco?

Right, I apologise for giving some incorrect info though in my defence point to E.ON website including customer account info being unclear and energyhelpline.com also seem to have been confused. If a start/change date was given for tarriffs it would help.

I've been 'online dual fuel' with E.ON (Powergen) for about six months, I don't remember the exact name or a version no., no name given on the bill! When I heard on the news on 07/02 of their price rise I checked energyhelpline.com which gave E.ON "Energy Online Extra Saver 5" as cheapest with exactly the same unit prices as on my previous bills so assumed they hadn't updated yet. Phoned energyhelpline.com who agreed saying check again in a few weeks.

From info on various threads here it seems Energy Online Extra Saver versions 1-4 prices did rise on 08/02 while version 5 was introduced on 07/02 with unchanged prices for new customers and any exisiting customers who ASK to be switched to it. If this isn't a mistake by E.ON it could be a ploy to get people to switch to them before they raise prices in a few weeks/months. If lots of existing customers start switching it may be soon!

Rumman: Extra Saver Standing just means standing charge and gives the same total for all but very light users or, like me, use no gas in the summer. E.ON accepted zero usage for that time and zero gas charge.

Thanks for that I was getting worried I'd switched to the wrong company.

If they put up the charges for this (no.5) tarrif could someone let us all know
on the forum because i bet alot of people have switched to this tarrif for the
    cashback and good rates.
