I switched to Scottish Power in Nov 06 and now the time is right to switch again.

So I have just been on moneysupermarket and put in my details and it has come up with the following, but the reviews about e-on hasn't encouraged me to switch. Just wondered if anyone else has used e.on and how they have found them?

Also read that a few people have used quidco? I dont know much about quidco can anyone point me in the right direction? Ive been on quidco.com, am i right in thinking i sign up to quidco and then switch through them?

I'm with npower and did a comparison..........the top two it came up with were companies I'd never heard of before.............can't recall their names now (should have made a note of it I know) but I'm a bit worried about changing to somewhere or something I know nothing about.
It's all a bit confusing to say the least............well, to me anyway.

Just popped back and got details:

EdF Energy EdF (Electricité de France) is the French state owned electricity company, and the group supplies gas and electricity to the whole of the UK. EdF has grown by buying a number of UK energy brands including London Energy, Seeboard Energy, Sweb Energy and Virgin Energy.

Overall, they have a 5 star service rating as they recently had a low number of cases raised by energywatch against them, coupled with an extended hours call centre and a relatively broad service offering.

EDF Energy is an official partner of the 2012 London Olympic Games.
Tariff Details Name EdF Energy - Online 5 Region East Midlands Payment method Monthly Direct Debit Features • Good service ratings / low levels of complaints
    • Extended hours customer contact centres
    • Free nectar points

Pricing Details Gas Electricity Standing charge 0.00p per day (£0.00 per year) 0.00p per day (£0.00 per year) Unit charge (pence per kWh)

The second best was Atlantic Electric and Gas.

    Not heard of them either

  • I've just moved into my flat and have not had a bill yet, the letting agency has provided the previous suppliers with our details ...Scottish Power... USwitch just gave us an estimate of £622 per year but E.On is around the £410 mark.

    Best to switch now?

Saw the £70 on quidco for a dual switch.

    Nicky,

Ive been with Eon (formerly Powergen) for over a year now and am happy with them.

They have a freephone number if you need to call them and have never had to wait for more than 5 minutes. The online metre readings are easy and when bills are sent you get an email telling you to log in.
Keep an eye on their website for cheaper tariffs though. As you can see they are on Energyonline Saver 5. I started at number1 only a few months ago. Moving from 1 to 5 saved me £23 a year i was told. Sure there will be a 6 and 7 soon!

E on was the third on my list of comparisons -might look into that a bit more. At least its a company I've heard of.

I have just managed to get a quote on e-on via quidco (£70 for dual fuel switch) & I should save about £170pa plus get tesco clubcard points. Also no tie in so I can switch again if I am not happy or if the rates change.

Greater London area is too large an area, (there are several PES regions there), electricity prices vary according to who your old regional electric company was. Once you have that info go on to their site. Their prices should be listed for each Public Electric Service region.
