Even if she loses she may get the information of what the true cost is.
I would like to know.
Will be interesting.
Would probably be able to get along to the court, however this might be behind closed doors as a private civil case, does anyone know if this is the case? It's PAC not PAC Code, it's MAC not MAC Code, it's PIN not PIN Number, it's ATM not ATM Machine, it's LCD not LCD Display, it's DVD not DVD disc... It's no one not noone, It's a lot not alot, It's got not gotten... Panini is the plural of panino - there is no S!!(OK my English isn't great, the sciences, maths & IT are my strong points!)0 -

Maybe its those people with everything on DD that can't look after their money properly.
My mother is 80+ and she has paid her bills on time all her adult life with 'cash' remember 'cash' this way she knows how much she has and how much she owes. Who are BT to take away her choice or to charge her extra.:mad:0 -
I am signed up for direct debit and have been since last May, but last month was the first time they have taken it using direct debit (I sent the online payment to late) but as I had already sent it by online banking I was now in credit and just got my new bill for 2p
So as not to be late this time I just sent them 2p using online banking, if it costs them £1.50 to process they must be losing money on me.0 -
My daughter on single parent benefit was on talk talk, moved house asked bt to have the phone line reconnected, when she said she would be moving to talk talk as it was cheaper they told her it would be a £70 charge for breaking the 1 year contract you have to sign up to to get the line connected. I thought there was a law against manopolys, as that is what bt have as no one else can do it.:j Glad Iv'e found this site :j0

Don't TalkTalk also have a charge for breaking the minimum contract term?Payments Due on Termination
10.8 If your Contract has a Minimum Period and you terminate the Service before the end of that Minimum Period you must pay us, as
compensation for our losses the lower of the following:
10.8.1 an amount equal to any costs that we incur in disconnecting you from the Service; or
10.8.2 an amount equal to the total monthly fees which you would have had to pay under your Contract up to the end of the Minimum
Period. Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0 -
She asked talk talk to do the transfer, they told her they used to do it but they still had to go to bt to get them to do it and most of the time bt caused problems.:j Glad Iv'e found this site :j0

You seem to be missing the point. TalkTalk could do the transfer if they wanted to by contracting BT Openreach to do the work just like BT retail have to but TalkTalk choose not to and make their customers pay BT. It's TalkTalk that you should be complaining to!
:doh: Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0 -

Yes Talk Talk could have moved her. In fact i believe that due to pressure from their moving customers they just intoduced a home moving service, which doesnt involve going back to BT. Something they should of done ages ago.0
