I spent our honeymoon in hospital throwing up! (I was 8 weeks pregnant when we got married - on purpose but rather quicker than we'd expected!) We're planning a couple of nights away at the end of September, back where we'd intended to honeymoon. (Malham.)
The thought of leaving our son for 2 whole nights is a bit daunting but he'll be having a whale of a time with his grandparents and although the last 2 years have been wonderful, they've been quite hard too for various reasons. So the thought of being all care free makes me all giddy. It won't be an anniversary as such but it certainly will be special. :jMay all your dots fall silently to the ground.0

Or April Fool's Day?jellyhead wrote:dammam your mistake was getting married at a forgettable time - you should have done it on her birthday :rotfl:
I can't forget mine now as my youngest was born 10 years and two days later ... he won't let me forget his birthday and it kind of sticks in my mind now!Signature removed for peace of mind0

Oh and cards: my sister often sends my boys a £1 Smiths voucher instead of a birthday card, and since my eldest son "just can't see the point" of spending money on cards I am now urging him to do the same. For a dear wife a Boots gift card might be more appreciated, it just depends on the person.Signature removed for peace of mind0

I think the voucher thing is a great idea. I bought a boat load of cards from ebay that worked out to about 6p each but I think I'll do the voucher thing for close friends.May all your dots fall silently to the ground.0
