In the past I have mostly shopped in Tesco, last month I tried Asda for the first time.
Incidently the store I shopped in was in one of the Dundee Kingsway stores.
All I can say is the place was noisy, loud music playing, freezing and staff were running and shouting to each other across the aisles.
That was my first impression of the store.
I had bought Chinese legs, thighs and drumsticks for the bbq at a price of £8 for two packs which were from the fridge section.
All went in the bin as the meat tasted like plastic, I have emailed Asda direct but have found out via searching online this morning that Asda customer services are terrible, emails are never replied to and their phone manner is even worse. To top it all if you send them a letter you may not even get a reply.
So fingers crossed I get a reply, if not they really do not want to see me in their store complaining.:rotfl:
So you didn't like the meat? Simple solution...shop elsewhere. How people think they have the right to complain just because something has offended their poor little tastebuds is beyond me.0 -

Binning the meat was a waste of food then.

This morning I took my husband for a blood test. We arrived at 8.00 a.m., although we knew that they were not advertised to open the blood taking until 8.30. I left him at no. 11 in the queue and went off to do my shopping, expecting that by the time that I would be finished, he would have been dealt with. When I went to the blood collecting point the queue was massive, reaching well down the store and there were many disgruntled people waiting, some on crutches and others who said they were ill. One member of staff had turned up, but did not have a key. The senior member of staff arrived at 8.30 with her bags of shopping and then had to go and find a key. Eventually they opened the doors for customers at 8.40. This is not a professional way to run the blood taking "service".0

Sorry but why would you go to Asda for a blood test?
Don't they have hospitals or Doctors surgeries in York? That gum you like is coming back in style.0 -
I have had problems recently with Asda's Click & Collect service - went to store, Customer Services sent me to CD/DVD counter, they couldn't find my grocery order (only 2 items); 30 minutes after I left the store (in Caerphilly) they phone me - we have your order but the Grocery Click & Collect is outside the store - you went to the Asda Direct Click & Collection point!!! They have 2 collection points but the staff obviously did not know that!! I said I'll collect next week. Went 2 days later as was in the vicinity - orders are only kept 24 hours - you were told that - no I was not as I said I'll collect next week!!
Also a delivery order was not delivered twice because the same store was told it was a Click & Collect order!!! I will give the Home Shopping Manager - Chris - the credit for phoning me the 2nd time, before I could phone him, and he got both the delivery order and another Click & Collect order both delivered to me within 40 minutes.0 -

ASDA PAYG mobile sim complaint
I would not use ASDA mobile sim PAYG card ever again. In my area the signal is really poor for the majority of the time which meant that I was unable to receive or make calls or the calls would suddenly drop off. I have found out the network is operated via Vodafone. I relied on another mobile provider with better reception which meant leaving the ASDA one at home. Later I was considering about using the remaining credit in another location with a better signal as the ASDA phone was hardly used in my area. On checking up on the credit there was still £30 on the sim. A week later the phone was suddenly cut dead.
I phoned ASDA customer services who said they had deactivated the phone, the number is lost and so is my credit. The call to check up on the balancing credit was not considered to be an ‘active call’ they informed me that any phone not used for 6 months is automatically deactivated without any warning to the user. They said they used to notify the user but not anymore. They only offered to give another number and credit back a mere £5 on the phone to me. Too bad about the remaining credit was their attitude. On emailing a complaint to Asda I have yet to hear anything to date. So I am much poorer by £30!0 -
I used the Asda website to order some Euros for store collection ahead of a holiday. While payment was processing I accidently pressed the back button on my browser, which meant that the system charged me twice.
I called the helpline, explained the situation and five minutes later they had promised to refund the extra payment.
Three days later, the money was back in my account. So it's not all bad.0 -
