Hi, I love writing so this sounds up my street - except I am a complete noobei at all this and it looks like it helps to know people - which I don't know yet. I don't know where to go and what to do to get started. Could someone tell the noobei what not to do as well please?

Most stuff has been covered in this thread - have a quick skim read, and ask questions if there is anything not clear. Personally I've found Dooyoo much more self-explanatory than Ciao - I've just started reviewing there too but still not clear on how it works! The FAQ on Dooyoo are pretty clear too - but come back if you have questions!
Once you write some reviews some of us will add you as a friend - but really the best way to get your reviews read and rated (which gets you more points) is to read and rate other peoples - then they return the favour.

i can't believe that i've just had a toaster review dissed! it is absolutely ludicrous! sooo bad that i copy it here for everyone's amusement...

Welcome to Dooyoo. A good start here but not enough to make me consider. So how does it actually toast? Does it toast bread evenly on both sides, able to take all thickness and manner of means of bread products? Can it toast bagels? Is it easy to clean out and I don't just mean if it has a crumb tray - toasters can be maintained well if owners just lift them over a sink and shake the crumbs out because the tray doesn't always get it out! What colours is this model available in? Is it heavy? Does it have cool walls? If not, is it easy to burn yourself?

Thes e are the kinds of involved user experience where members and buyers can be informed more closely. If you update your review pls let me know.

It just goes to show how pitiful my reviews really are!

i forgot to mention, for instance, that i clean mine by putting in the washing machine on the woollens cycle! keen eyed viewers will also note that i didn't mention what happens if you plug it in and then shove a fork in the element! furkin fruitloop! :rolleyes:

i am tempted to reply saying that the toast can come out in all sorts of colours. for instance, the slice that i put on to toast last night is now completely black and should be ready in another few hours! :rotfl:

It is clearly quite political - keep smiling, take on the useful criticisms and ignore the inane - and bear in mind that it is very likely that the guides read this thread!

Funny, but as soon as I read your post on the terrible inadequacies of your toaster review (!) I just had a strange feeling I knew who it was! Just been over there and checked, and guess what? I was right! Some people really do need to get out more!!!!

Don't worry, I've also been told off by this person. I'm obviously a complete failure as a reviewer!
