Not know any young adults/teenagers who go to college? As they may possibly have friends on art courses who also do photography? Perhaps hiring them will be cheap, maybe payment in drink etc instead of cash? They wont be professional as paying, but more than likely be better than doing them yourself, along with them owning a good camera, so hopefully a higher quality of photos as a result.0

HI there,
Another one is getting married on a small budget. We are trying to do it for £1000 (see my thread getting married in the lake district for £1000). We have about 40 people coming to the wedding and so far I am making good progress. We have decided to do it in a registry office. The cost for this is about £40. I have searched the internet for rings and realistically I think we could get both for max £150. My dress or bridesmaid dresses will be off ebay or from a bridal charity shop and DFs suit will be from ebay. If all else fails we shall look in the sales after crimbo (getting married 09). We are probably not getting a photographer but instead buying a good camera as a joint christmas gift for me and DF. We will then arrange a few posed pics and the rest can be natural. Flowers will be either bought off ebay or from our local market (and arranged by MIL). Hair will be done by my big sis (who is very talented). Im quite nifty with doing make up so will probably buy some expensive make up and do it my self (i will request vouchers for Debenhams/ Boots for Christmas or my birthday to afford this).
Thats as far as we have got! I will keep an eye on this thread and you could keep an eye on mine and hopefully we will get a load of fabby ideas.AMxxx
Proud to be dealing with my debt

we are using our tesco deals to get our wedding bands from goldsmiths, the good thing is that they will take them as part payment too, so if we don't quite have enough we can still pay the majority off our rings with them.0

You need to use pillars (think they're called dowling?) between the layers to help support it... unless all 3 are fruitcake! and even then I'd still say you need to give it some extra support...
I bought a wedding cake stand off e-bay for I think £30 including delivery and when I am done it can go back on e-bay again and looking at the prices I should get the vast majority of my money back
Thanks for telling us that tine, good tip about eBay as well.Got married 23rd May 2009, many thanks to all on the Weddings and Anniversaries board for their help and support!

Was the seller I used. The flowers are lovely and nicer than the photos. Knowing how cheap they were I was a little predjudiced and thought they looked a bit cheap but everyone I've shown them to disagrees! LOL
BTW I got my OH's engagement ring form thebeautifulcompany - i was very very happy with their service.0 -
if u go to the grab it section there is an offer for eurocamps. it was 2 adults 2 kids for £52 for a week holiday in Luxembourg, so i imagine less for just 2 adults. Get the ferry over with ur car and ur sorted for a cheap honeymoon in Europe
can i also say if ur dream ring is only £189 and u have no engagement ring, dont go for something else. Find the £189. You have to wear this for the rest of your life - do you want to look at your ring and think "i wish i had got the other one". Things like a honeymoon can come at another time if wanted, find a bargain honeymoon, or put it off so you can save for a while or something. But i think you should get the ring.0 -
I read a tip in a magazine (am also planning my wedding at the mo!)...if you're planning to do your own make up the advice was to go to a few department stores and get some free make overs from the make up counters...try and pick up some tips and ideas for the look you want (so you can go home and replicate it)!0

That's what I'll be doing kte, taking my sister with me to see what they do so she can replicate it, and taking photo's for a reminder... and also seeing how many freebies I can get from various stores to help too lol.A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...My Fathers Daughter wrote: »Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.
