yeah it was done within 20mins of being out of oven!lol0

If you're actually making it to freeze rather than freezing leftovers I would actually make up the lasagne but freeze it without cooking it in the oven, you can then cook it from "fresh" in the oven and it will cook much nicer."You've been reading SOS when it's just your clock reading 5:05 "0

Thanks, didn't know you could do that. I usually leave it in a cool place for an hour or two before cooking to help the flavour mature but now you are saying its ok to freeze before cooking then i'll just portion it up and cook when i'm ready!

I had one from the freezer the other day... I only half defrosted it... only because I am scared my dish might crack going from frozen to oven...! I then cooked it long and slow too!
Turned out better then the other one I made at the same time!We spend money we don't have, on things that we don't need, to impress people we don't like. I don't and I'm happy! Mortgage Free Wannabe :dance:Overpayments Made: £5400 - Interest Saved: £11,550 - Months Saved: 240 -
Lasagne is always better if its made a day before eating - or frozen and used later
I would defrost it mostly cos of the cracking dish issue too - but wouldn't bother with the fridge (my fridge is really cold so nothing defrosts properly in there anyway!). Just leave it out overnight - its not going to go bad in 24 hours unchilled - people managed before fridgesAs long as its covered so nasties land on it!
