Hi Dorry
Don't worry, there's no such thing as a stupid question here, if you hang around long enough you'll see that we all ask a lot worse than this:o The best thing is that soemone always knows, you can be sure of an answer!
Personally I like to defrost in the fridge first then re-heat in the oven, to check it is hot through pop the blade of a knife in the centre & see if it comes out hot (hold to back of hand or lip.....GENTLY!). However, you can safely re-heat from frozen in the microwave but it is a bit hit & miss getting the timing right, you have to keep checking until it is hot all the way through, remember microwaves don't heat evenly. Or you could defrost in the microwave first then re-heat.

I regularly make lasagne and find the best way of reheating is to take it out the freezer the night before required, leave in fridge till required, top with cheese and cook in oven for 40 mins on Gas 5.
Saying that though I only make lasagnes up to the point when you put it all together i.e: layering pasta, cooked bolognese and cheese sauce......then allow it to cool and freeze.Make £10 a Day Feb .....£75.... March... £65......April...£90.....May £20.....June £35.......July £600 -

I want to make individual lasagnas and freeze them, I'm going to use the dried sheets of lasagna. Should I cook all the individual lasagnas then freeze them or should I just make them up and freeze them without the final oven stage?0

I make them and freeze them uncooked. This has come up before and people are divided, some cook them and freeze them. I just think they are nicer if they're only cooked once but if you're going to be reheating them in a microwave you might want to oven cook to get the top browned.0

I often make up batches of lasagne and freeze them at the final oven stage. Just defrost them when you want them (I take them out of the freezer the night before) and finish off in the oven as you normally would.I have the mind of a criminal genius. I keep it in the freezer next to Mother....0

I usually make a large lasagne and take out a few portions for supper, leave the rest to cool and then i cut them up into individual pieces and wrap in cling film and freeze. I reheat in the microwave for a quick and easy supper.A banker is someone who lends you an umbrella when the sun is shining, and who asks for it back when it start to rain.0

I make the sauce and layer it with dried lasagne in individual dishes and when cold just freeze as normal. Defrost when you want and cook in the oven as normal.
I didn't have time to make the white sauce the other day so I used a bottled sauce from the store cupboard it was a Homepride Tomato and herb pasta sauce one of their pasta bake ones it was just as nice with alternate layers of meat sauce and dried pasta. Very nice and tomatoey and I always sprinkle a bit of dried garlic on top.
Tasted smashing . I usually have to make lasagne for my two daughters as well so I always batch make'n'freeze them.
Buying small pyrex dishes and idividual dishes from boot sales for about 20-30p in the summer means I have a collection of small dishes .Nicer than those throwaway metal ones0 -
Tonight I made a Lentil Lasagne for the first time, I've never made lasagne before, came out very well but there is enough to feed about eight !(there is only 2 of us!) lol
would it be ok to freeze this do you think? really dont want to have to throw it away0 -
Never been a problem in our house! However, the bechamel sauce changes its consistency, so it's never quite the same - tends to be a bit drier. Chuck some fresh coriander into the mix - works wonders.0
