I think this has been discussed in a few posts but just to let you know O2 Retentions are pulling all stops to keep customers by matching just about anything you can find.
The two new tariffs they have on offer are called Discount 500 and Discount 750.
500 Anytime X Network Mins or 750 Anytime X Network Mins and 400 Texts as well all for £15.00 or £17.50
Thats cool!!Do you think the deals on their website now are good? I do, i mean i get a new phone worth £200 squid (Samsung E530) for £19 a month with 50 mins calls x 500 texts a month. I mostly text a lot so this deal suits me

is this a 12month contract or a monthly contract with no handsetIf I helped or saved you money - Thank me
If I helped you spend some money - spank me
If I done both - :lipsrseal me:eek:0 -
I was offered the 500 anytime x-net mins for £15 pm (or my existing tariff 1000 mins to O2 & landlines for £10) with Sony Ericsson K750i (£30 for handset). They would not budge on the price of handset!
I opted to stay on my current tariff 1000 mins (doubled mins & text for 6 months) but did not upgrade the phone as I am waiting for the Sony Ericsson W800i to come out in a couple of months. Apparently, I am not tied to a 12 month contract if I do not upgrade handset so should be able to upgrade in a couple of months time...0 -

The deals on their website are good! When you have completed your 12 month period you can phone the Retentions Dept to get an even better deal!0 -
Hi Folks,
Just phoned O2 Retentions to see what offeres are on today.
Its just getting better and better!!!!
They offered me the following:
Discount 500 Tarriff - 500 X Network Mins Anytime
400 Text Bolt On
£22.00 per month with a £75.00 Credit applied to my bill but no phone upgrade as i'm happy with my current handset0 -
Hi Folks, Me again!!
Just phoned O2 Retentions again 30 mins later and asked them to beat the deal I was offered and now they are offering the following:
Discount 500 - 500 X Network Mins
500 Free Texts per month
£15.00 per month
£75.00 Credit applied to my account straight away no need to wait for cashback etc etc.. as i want to keep my handset - This will be a new 12 month contract even though no handset taken
So that works out at -
£15.00 x 12 months = £180.00 - £75.00 Credit = £105.00 for 12 months0 -
gmc wrote:Hi, my girlfriend is on O2 - she has a contract for £25 a month which gets her 200 xnet mins and 50 texts. She is also due for an upgrade. I know she can get a better deal online via a cashback deal but she isn't too keen on that.
I was wondering if anyone knows what kind of deal O2 would offer her to stay with the them eg line rental reduction, more mins etc
Or if there are any particluar good deals around at the moment.
She is quite keen on the new samsung e530.
Cheers

Thanks for all the input!
Just off the phone and have 500 xnet mins and 50 texts for £15.50 a month and a SE k750i (was offerred the samsung e350 but she had already changed her mind!).
Think this was a good offer as my girlfriend has been cut off at least 3 times, most recent being October, and only pays her bills every 3 or 4 months - so don't think she was top of the 'keeps' pile!

I've now accepted an offer of:-
Discount 500 Anytime X Network Mins
500 Free Text Messages
A further £10.00 per month line rental discount
£110 Credit applied to my bill straight away - No Cashback carry on!!
So the deal costs as follows:
Line Rental £15.00 per month instead of £25.00 per month
£15.00 X 12 = £180.00 - £110.00 Credit = £70.00 divided by 12 months
= £5.83 per month approx0 -
I accepted:
D500
12 month contract
750mins anytime x network
100 texts
£17.50
Definately was not gonna give me anything better, and did not seem chuffed when I tried to blag a bluetooth headset as well.
Seems a fair deal though, currently I spend about £35 a month on calls. I have been with O2 for 7 years.
Thanks to everybody taking the time in contributing to this thread, without it, I would have probably been ripped off again for another year!!0
