Think he only said yes as he was on his way to a red call and hadnt got time to argue. Also threw a bottle of unopened 'stuff' away that he bought in Thailand when he went with his ex and we've been together 12 years so havent a clue what it [strike]is[/strike] was or exactly how old it was.

I dont HAVE to its just sometimes easier to ask, its a bit like when you make them think something is their idea to get them to do what you want. He just hates me throwing anything away and its why we're floor to rafters in carp :rotfl:Mortgage, we're getting there with the end in sight £6587 07/23, otherwise free of the debt thanks to MSE help!0 -

See what you mean-could you slip things into the wheely bin gradually, so he wouldn't miss things?? I'm finding it hard to put myself in your position as my DH wouldn't notice if I came home with purple hair!!:rotfl:WW lost 33 lbs so far, [strike]13st1lb[/strike] [strike]12st13lbs[/strike] [STRIKE]11st12.5lbs[/STRIKE] 11st11lbs0 -
Morning folks.
I won't disappear altogether, i was just thinking of making sure the school stuff was done 1st, and if there was no time in the week coming back at the weekends. I don't want to cause you lot to worry about me.
Trouble is, i know i was coming here 1st, spending at least an hour catching up, and then starting work, and i know it is more important to get things done while i can. After all, it is only the next 5 weeks, and then i will be off work and free to spend a bit of time here.
kaz i generally mention what i am throwing too. It saves the 'where is....'
DH made me laugh when he emptied out the spare room and bathroom cupboards when we were swapping around, and he kept saying ' oh- i've found ...,' when really i knew what was there all along.
Anyway, plan today is to have a day in the house, get the bedding washed and changed, and clothes ready for the week. I still have school work to do  yet i have done more this week than i think i normally would, but unfortunately not as much as there is to do. Shame as i was hoping for a sort out the bedroom so DH can strip the wallpaper and operation decorate Charlie's new room could start. Will see where we get.
Anyway, looks like a lovely day here again, so i hope you all enjoy it.

How cold? The greenhouse is currently on the (shaded all winter) patio and I have never ever been so cold. DH concreted the base in yesterday so today we are going to shift the frame to its lovely sunny final position then I can put a second coat on.
Need to do DW, WM and make beds. Check ds1 has school stuff ready for tomorrow and do some reading with him. Do some boring ironing.'If you have a garden and a library, you have everything you need' Marcus Tullius Cicero0 -
Morning we have internet access so I am making the most of it and getting a few bits done that I need to.
Really hard frost here. Had my me time reading the paper in bed and polishing my nails - not done that in ages.
Feeling really grumpy again for no reason - I think it is just I need my own space so get fedup of kids around me - I don't want to speak to them anymore, how mean is that!
Be back later to see what delights are left for me.The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
Morning all
Two loads of washing on the line, it's just started to steam so I guess the sun is beginning to warm up
Veggies prepared for roast dinner and meat in the oven.
DH still in bed...
My kids aren't little kids any more, they are all grown up, but Dustykitten I can relate to what you're saying. I can remember feeling like I wanted to shrug them off and fantasising about having time away on my own. But, be careful what you wish for. I've only got one still living at home and I really miss the others. Especially my DS who is 200 miles away.
But I know if I could turn back time I would still be irritable and wanting my own space. Just how we are I suppose.0 -

I was showing the kids the steaming washing yesterday so they could see how it dries - they found it amazing. The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
