    Morning all.

Lil-me re the Borrower. Has anyone sat down with her to find out why she's always running out of money? She seems like a prime candidate to join MSE!

    Pigpen,

I may be being selectively blind but I can't seem to find Friday's list. It's not after Thursday's on the first page. Is it written in invisible ink or does this mean we have the day off? :D

Glad all is ok mudbath, cant believe the nurse didnt tell you!!!

I cant abide 'borrowers' who only look out for themselves:mad: What can she possibly spend £300 a week on lil_me? I'd love to have that kind of disposable income;) Hope you get it sorted soon. Dont let her guilt trip your mum into giving her anything!

Sounds like you had a lovely night pink fairy:D

Currently ignoring pigpens list, instead i am doing a WDI (Whole Day Ironing:eek: ) if i have time when i've finished i will do some flying, but my ironing pile is beyond ridiculous:o

    Morning!

Excellent no list today, not that I have followed it at all this week. Kitchen for me today.

Off to town on bike to get DS1 hair cut and get some bread early on.
Trip to Mr T to use a few coupons and return something
Pop into homebase next door to buy a pot - 10% off day

Local cinema to see B Moovie later
Sis popping in to use printer
Freecycler coming to collect turf we lifted yesterday.

Lilme being a huge fan of the shakespear I shall quote to you

    Neither a borrower nor a lender be;
For loan oft loses both itself and friend,
And borrowing dulls the edge of husbandry

Making a cuppa then doing a 15 minutes HHP to start the day - Mudbath I'll let you off not joining me as you are sore - go for the course out of adversary and all that - oh I feel another quote coming on.

  • good morning. looks like we have a day of from flying, i can't find a list for today!
Back on MSE again! to take control of my finances and not let it control me. :T May grocery challenge £41.96/140
  • eeek - no list! And I have a whole extra hour free (DS taken to school by DH today) so what shall I do?

    Right
    • cuppa & toast
    • HHI
    • dailies
    • then hoover through methinks (how far can mud travel through a house - at least its dry now)
    • then as much declutterring as I can stand (I will reclaim my house)
    Moam
Although no one can go back and make a brand new start, anyone can start from now and make a brand new ending.... life is a WIP.

Snowball says too far away, working hard to bring it forward.
  • Thanks to all those who gave advice on the potty training of DS1. Gunsandbanjos - I got hold of the potty training in one week book, thanks for the recommendation (Gina Ford normally scares me rigid but I've overcome my prejudices here!). He's showing all the signs she lists, so far so good. Dusty - I've asked him whether he wants to use the big toilet and he says no, will leave it a while and then start asking again. Like the pingpong ball suggestion! I've been trying to work out why, he won't talk about it. He was a very late talker though (not much at all till 2 and a half), and I think he gets too frustrated when he doesn't get things right immediately, may well be the same here. He's also very, very stubborn (which he gets from me). Thanks to GingerGirl and Lil_Me for the info on the disability discrimination act, I'll tell DH that but I think he won't want to go in too aggressively on that line as he works there too. Defo something to let them know though, as other parents may pick them up on it as well. Galantvr4 and chasingbutterflies - thanks for the support, I will try again later. Like the marbles in a jar technique, I was going to buy a reward chart from ebay today but will try that first!!
GingerGirl - I also think you've made the right choice re career. Are you also a Beancounter? I've had a similar issue, when I go back after maternity leave I'm going to a different job within the company - my old job now means working in France at least once a fortnight and that would be too hard to fit round the kids so have taken a lower profile role.
Mudbath - really pleased to hear your good news :D
PinkFairy - congratualtions to DH on his presentation, sounds like a wonderful occasion :D
Pigpen - amazing how the littlies can deal with death so well. I was so worried about how DS1 would take the death of our cat 4 months ago, when we took her to the vets (thinking she was going to get better) he cried for her all the way home but he hasn't mentioned her since! My HV said her daughter just asked for a rabbit when their cat died!

HEE HEE! I'VE COMPLETED TODAY'S LIST!

Ok, I'm devastated! No list and I was going to spend every second of today flying (ok, i'm going out but I'm not telling Pigpen). Hee hee!
