I was just wondering how you have time to do anything FL with such a large thread to read. I thought that being a little mad came with being OS!

Soappie - that's really lovely. We're thinking of buying DS the Nikon D40 6.1mp for his birthday. What do you think?

Go for it Pink! I've got the Nikon D50 - I've had it for a couple of years now. I've never had a bad photo out of it. I've added a couple of lenses (a micro lens and a telephoto) as well so I can mix and match.

The beauty, of course, is that you can see your results almost immediately (i.e. as long as it takes you to get home and plug it into the computer!)

But, you might find you want to obtain a decent photo editing bit of software rather than rely on good old standard MS products.

Grrrrrrrrrrjust had an email asking me to call as payment details are incorrect. So I thought 'double check the terms on quidco first' Did that and sure enough if a code is used cashback is declined. But I did call as well to fin out why it did not go through, they checked the details and tried again, DECLINED  said leave it with me. The order will auto cancel in 2 days if I do nothing with it.

Tried to find a number for egg to ring and query why, plenty of credit available and bill always paid in full. But of course they don't publish a number do they. Sent them a stroppy email instead!

So placed a new order with another card so I could get cashback through quidco (better deal than using the code) but will lose out on the ccard cash back as this one doesn't get cashback.

Now starting to wonder if I will get a letter from egg saying they are closing account as they make no money from me and have to give me cash back for using their facilities.

  • Thank you Soappie. We've got Photoshop Elements! His tutor was really good with him. Pity the LEA ever took him away. He really motivated him.
