I currently have a free email account with hotmail. I don't really like the email address I have with them and am thinking of switching to another provider e.g yahoo.
Can anyone recommend any decent ones?
Is it possible to redirect mail from an old email account to your new one so that you don't loose any current emails as well as recive new emails that have been sent to your old email address?
Thanks.

gmail but you will have a tough time getting a 'good' address now.
You could get your own domain for a few quid and use the gmail interace with it though. eg you@yourdomain.com0 -
try https://www.any-mail.co.uk as you can register against your town or village name. I have myname@chapel-en-le-frith.co.uk for example. I think it is still free0

I once registered a domain name for my home address, i.e. 20whereilive.co.uk and used that for a while. There is a cost though, but kinda cool to have. Anyway, I let the domain name lapse, I just did it when we got married a few years back.0

I was going to recommend Gmail too, I love it & rarely use my ISP's mail ... but what's up with the addresses?gmail but you will have a tough time getting a 'good' address now
I've had mine more or less from the start, so I must a have one of the good addys
& I like that you can integrate it into your Outlook Express ... don't know about any of the others (Yahoo etc) but with Hotmail you now have to pay for the privilege :rolleyes:0 -
Not free but you get a free email addy with all domain purchases and renewals at godaddy. You can get one for $6.95 (about £4) a year with a discount code. So you can have anyhing@yourdomain.com0

Until recently I was with Lycos but suddenly had nothing but trouble with logging in. I've got a gmail account and managed to get an address with my name on it without any problem. Mind you, I don't suppose there are many other people called Xerches Dnadtle around, are there?

Google Mail every time.
Their webmail setup is fantastic. They have build in spam filters that actually work. You can use the account in Outlook or Outlook Express free of charge (unlike others), you can even just have the account forward to another email address.
Go for GMAIL, you wont be disappointed.- Google is your friend, use it :rolleyes:0 -
you can still get a decent address on gmail by playing about with whats available, best thing to do is put a single initial between the names
name.initial.surname@gmail.com0
