While we're all twiddling our thumbs waiting for 'the call' or 'the letter' here's something to pass the time...
On Google search for GR3 B&Q.
Click the Cache version for the third or so result down.
This is an old version of the Garden Rooms page - find the model GR3 for £3999 - before it got reduced in the 'Big Sale'(green or brown, the choice is yours!)
Add to basket... take a look at the price which pops up in the top left of the page.
If you view your shopping list you will see that the item is not available anymore online (awww), but you can click on the item for its description and confirmation of the saving of £5241.89 (excluding delivery of course!), so it's still sitting at that price on their stock system, although admittedly not available.0 -
I have an email confirmation, a printed receipt courtesy of B&Q’s site; the money has left my account. It may be a misprice, but then CPC sold my friend a 10ft sq garden house for £500 18 months ago – that was not a misprice.
As for the clause after the “legally binding contract” stuff; namely “WE RESERVE THE RIGHT NOT TO SUPPLY YOU AT OUR DISCRETION.” They had the chance not to supply me and not take my money, but they did, so looks binding to me. After all, could I ring them up 4-5 days after a transaction and say “whoops decided I can’t afford it, sorry.”
Actually, you could cancel up to 7 days (i think) after ordering as part of the Distance Selling Regulations' cooling off period which cover transactions via internet, phone, fax, mail order and digital tv.
I wouldn't cancel the order in this case even if requested to! :rolleyes:0 -

This does actually raise another point. Those customers that have purchased the item on Saturday either online, phone or in store and are not aware of this website (sorry Martin, but there's probably still one or two!) will be oblivious of any problem if there has been a mistake.
Today is Wednesday, so they will be expecting the delivery sometime in the next 2 and a half weeks... what if between Saturday and now they have been demolishing a perfectly reasonable shed/summerhouse/cabin in order to make room for their nice new garden room? I would have thought it would have been in B&Q's best interests to get in touch with everyone as soon as they were aware of any anomaly as keeping quiet for longer is likely to make matters worse?0 -

Very good point!!
I would also be happy if they could offer an alternative instead. The suspense is very annoying.

V.Good point. I have as yet been given no indication by B&Q that the do not intend to supply me with my goods and as the have taken my cash it would be fair to assume there was no problem with the purchase.
As today is the third working day, I would expect to here from them today at the latest.
Has B&Q actually telephoned anyone yet to explain the error?Twins, twice the laughs, twice the fun, twice the mess!:j:j0 -
I've had no contact with them at all it's pretty lousy customer service whichever way you look at it0
