Just checked my account online and it is there in black and white - B&Q - 377.11!!
So they have taken the money - what happens if they now cancel?
Also - does anyone have a screenshot of the offer as I have confirmation e-mail but not a screenshot showing the sale.
Thanks

Good luck with that!...and I genuinly mean that. Good on you if you get this.
My previous troubles with B&Q and a cheap offering - they delivered just the swing seat and rope on the expected day of delivery. Then they arranged three other delivery dates for the rest of the playcentre - none of which took place.
Then I got the 'out of stock' excuse, blah blah, etc - got what I paid for in the end. I had my cc debited on the day, had print outs of confirmation and website page print out too and their customer service said "so what?, means nothing until it's delivered". Took a letter to the CEO and a phone call to his No.2 to fix it.Anger ruins joy, it steals the goodness of my mind. Forces me to say terrible things. Overcoming anger brings peace of mind, a mind without regret. If I overcome anger, I will be delightful and loved by everyone.0 -

Been through this loads of times the charging of your debit or credit card means NOTHING until the item is delivered posession is 9/10ths of the law you wont get the item unless B and Q want you to have it0

My money has definately gone. just talked to B&Q again. Guy said they have had memo from their legal team that as it was a genuine mistake they do not have to honour it and will be refunding any money taken.
He said it might be worth talking to trading standards about contract law and that he would try and find out more and phone me back.
I very much doubt any orders will get through as they have to come from the supplier who has wiped all the orders from the system.
I know that some people successfully argued with Play. com about a harry potter DVD set recently, but that was a £40 price difference not a £3k one!!0 -
Squoog, I have just had a similar call from them, the money if taken will be returned, they're legal team are sending out letters to everyone who ordered one and should arrive in the next day or so.
Oh Well, it was nice while it lasted.
Now.....Any cheap deals on 10x8 Sheds?0 -
If B & Q were not to honour these orders and they were to be taken to court, they could argue that the pricing was an obvious mistake. However the person or persons who rang B & Q and were not advised of any error may actually have strengthened the case against B & Q.0

Nobody is going to take anyone to court, we took a chance and ended up with nothing. That's the way it goes!0 -

Someone had to mention the K word !!! Let's face it there have been many missprices since then and it's the sellers right not to honour the sale.
Legal discussions on this subject are quite dull. As I said before on this thread you win some, you lose some.
