  • Best to just wait and see , all this small claims court talk etc is a waste of time !
I have ordered loads of obvious price mistakes , some you win some you lose.
confirmation emails , money taken etc , doesnt mean anything , once you get that "sorry, the item you ordered was listed wrong, heres a £5 voucher"email, its game over !
Really hope they honour it as It has to be one of the best ones yet :D

Agree 100% wait and see but it usually goes like this

    someone finds the misprice
    everyone orders the misprice
some plank rings up and gives the game away:mad: (not naming any names you know who you are!)
everyone x's their fingers in anticipation
    wild rumours abound the forum
    company cancels orders
everyone then becomes a legal expert
threats of legal action and suing the company which then leads to......
b*gger all! and much gnashing of teeth and cries of I'll never deal with (enter company name here) again.
2 weeks later die hards are still waiting on a miracle
    someone finds another misprice..........
    and away we go again!

If this item was priced up in store at this price - even though it is an error, would they have to sell it to you by law for this price or refuse?

As far as I remember from a law degree I started many, many years ago - and definitely did not graduate from - the price displayed in the shop isn't legally binding, but is what they call an 'invitation to treat'. They can refuse to sell it to you if they wish. But once you've offered them money and they've accepted it, then it's a contract.

On the subject of internet law I don't even have that much knowledge. I've ordered this item, but I'm simply waiting to see what happens. If I get it, then brilliant. If I don't, then some you win, some you lose.

I ordered one this morning, but won't hold my breath for it!

These buildings are usually specially ordered direct from the manufacturer, so unless Palladium Conservatories or B&Q are prepared to lose £3k per order I really can't see this happening. A pity, as this would have been a good size - got just the spot for it! ;)

Looking at their website, I think palladium may be part of B&Q, given the amount of references to them!
