I am gutted I missed this, was at the Garden Centre actually looking at buying one, my husband made me go out instead of being chained to the laptop!
  • would they take the money our of peoples accounts if they weren`t going to honour it??
Inside me lives a skinny woman crying to get out - but I can usually shut her up with cake!
  • Well, it depends, I have seen money reserved before then put back, but the girl at tesco gave me the impression that the money was going out.

I need to make savings wherever I can at the moment!

The only thing is that I will want another shed now as this is too nice!
  • I wouldnt get carried away just yet most online companies now have a clause that no contract is formed with them until they actually despatch the goods this is the companies get out clause with all misprices
  • Well lets hope it works.

I see theres a couple of posts missing now at the start of the thread.
    How pathetic !!!
I will have to get in touch with the bank in the morning and see what the state of play is.I got a mini statement and it wasn't showing but perhaps it does not show till it actualy goes through ???
It's not just about the money
  • Silk, my online statement showed nothing, but the advisor on the phone confirmed it had gone through
  • Presumably this goes back to the ( dare I say it ) legal point about offer and contract. If they offered the item at £377, you accept, and they then take said £377 off you ( or out of your account) then both parties are in a legal contract.

Go on some legal expert, shoot down my logic !!
  • From B & Q's terms and conditions and before we get into an argument about whether its binding or not I have seen loads of misprices on here and without fail you will not get the item at the misprice unless the company allows you to I have never seen anyone go to court and win it wont happen unless B & Q are feeling generous, lets face it if these were £3000 under priced even B & Q cant afford to take a loss like that.

B&Q CANNOT ACCEPT YOUR ORDER UNTIL YOU HAVE PAID FOR IT IN FULL (INCLUDING APPLICABLE DELIVERY CHARGES). UPON PAYMENT, WE WILL CONFIRM ACCEPTANCE OF YOUR ORDER BY E-MAIL WHICH WILL BE SENT TO THE E-MAIL ADDRESS YOU PROVIDE ON YOUR ORDER DETAILS. WHETHER OR NOT YOU RECEIVE THE E-MAIL, OUR ACCEPTANCE OF YOUR ORDER WILL CREATE A LEGALLY BINDING CONTRACT BETWEEN US. WE RESERVE THE RIGHT NOT TO SUPPLY YOU AT OUR DISCRETION.
  • Now by their T's and C's, once they take the money they have accepted the order, according to tesco the money transfer is authorised and has gone, so does this mean they have accepted my order?

    We shall see!
