Well - I've had mine cancelled too - it would be interesting to know whether anyone managed to get one. Unfortunately it's looking like it might have cost me money cos I also ordered an accessory at the same time. It was delivered a few days later and I fitted it to my Mother in Law's machine to see how it worked - didn't actually use it. However because I admitted to this when I phoned up to complain that the order had been cancelled (more fool me, I know) and now they are saying I can't return this accessory which is frankly useless to me. Apparently I was welcome to buy an alternative from their catalogue....lol. Hubby is on the phone to HO trying to get this resolved as we speak."There's hard work. And there's not so hard work. I prefer not so hard work. But if you mix not so hard work with hard work it's harder than the not so hard work but not so hard as the hard work."

I would never place an order with Kays again!!
Their customer service is shocking and they confirmed with me that they were getting stock on 2 occasions.
I also ordered the garden bench and waited in all day on the monday for it not to arrive. They did not bother to tell me it was cancelled and now they have cancelled my Dyson too!!
They dont deserve our custom as they dont give a dam about their customers.0 -

I ordered very very early on and have had my cancellation, so i strongly doubt anyone will get one. This means that Kays have bluffed us from the very start.
Good luck with sorting out your accessory. I think you are right to be peeved, im sure to most anyone looking at your order, it is obvious that the accessory was specifically for the dyson! Given that Kays were so assuring that the dyson would be delivered, I dont believe it is unreasonable for you to have opened the accessory knowing the vacuum was coming..... so it is the fault of Kays for bluffing that they had stock coming..... I think you should be entitled to either them refunding your accessory (irrelevant of it being opened) or they should provide an alternative machine.

Well - Hubby managed to get a result - I was given the run around so he took over. I had started my complaint 2 days ago and when I wasn't getting anywhere I asked to speak to a manager - lo and behold none were available and it took them until late this afternoon to phone me. The woman told me it was my own fault and that I couldn't return the goods and that was that. Hubby took over and demanded her name, and direct number - all she would give was her first name - some manager huh, so he asked for HO's number and phoned them. Got through to a very helpful man who pointed out that they have a 14 day home approval policy and we still had 4 days remaining on that so no problem - return the goods. So at least I'm not lumbered with an accessory that is no use to me.
Just a thought - has anyone tried phoning them and trying to order the dyson and see if they have any stock - cos I don't believe for one minute that they have none - and as even the earliest of orders have been cancelled I think they are definitely pulling a fast one.
Anyway - it was a good spot - and it was worth a go - thanks OP."There's hard work. And there's not so hard work. I prefer not so hard work. But if you mix not so hard work with hard work it's harder than the not so hard work but not so hard as the hard work."

they can use that excuse of not having them in stock ,cos do they not say that they come direct from manufacturer.. which could take 3 weeks (crafty aren't they):rolleyes:0 -
Does anyone think this might be a new way of them making it look like they have alot of new customers on there books  , as I have had a catalog and I think most other people have too. For a big company to say they are getting stock in August, then all of a sudden can not get any seems strange to me
