You've done okay I think. I knew that I could make my maiden name using an 08 reg. I already have a plate but I just priced the 08 one and it was £2299!! I paid £399 for the one I have and I love it, so nevermind!

PH11 LIP will be a good investement in 2011 too...
As private number plates go, I did see a BMW M3 with K1 XAS, which spaced correctly means sod all, but they had it spaced to read K1X AS. Which i thought was good.
Tho I still think private plates are more hassle than they're worth.
That's cos I work in the motor trade and get sick of the mounds of paper work they have lol.0 -

I think it's worth more than £1,500. Plus if someone is willing to double the price for one week's investment then why not wait a little longer? At worst case scenario, I've lost £799 which, I doubt will be the case.
Got it advertised at RegTransfers now. Will be ringing up dealerships next week and specialist registration plate dealers to see what sort of interest I get. They can put up the plate at their showcars for free of charge to gauge the interest of potential buyers and they get a commission.0 -

Not possible as can't have "I" on UK number plate, only northern Ireland formats have them e.g. ZIL2323
To OP - the companies that give you quotes on the reg mark don't tend to actually buy them off you, they just put them on their database for x amount of time and if someone decides to buy it at that price then you would get paid, less their fees of course!
