Boots Advantage Card points with this order: 3456

Only reallllllly needed the clarifying lotion, but net to me is £17.74 and the lotion is £14. Someone mentioned that there is another 75% sale mid-year, so I am purposely building up points now as a sort of savings plan for it and intend to buy everything with points in the sale- that way although it's a lot to pay out now - it will more than pay for itself later.:D :D

excuses, excuses.........you sound just like me :rotfl:

can all bootsers who are given vouchers on a spend of under 10.00 please name the store so I can do my shopping there? :rotfl:

RE: dot.com. Are you allowed to use more than one code, and is there a limit to how many codes you can use per order?

  • First time I've done a Boots shop with/for vouchers for ages until today. First up I topped up my phone with £10 to get the voucher, checked my receipt and my points hadn't gone on despite her putting my advantage card through. SA called for assistance and two managers arrived at the same time and got it fixed. Next I move to the machine to see what offers were available to me and twice my card got stuck and the machine wouldn't move on to the offers. SA came and tried to sort it twice, the other machine was out of order so I abandon that and move to the No7 counter. The manager who helped sort my points very kindly pointed out that in the mag which I had there was a free powder "oh is there I said" all innocent and she opened the mag at the page for me!

So I picked up the free powder and a P&P tube and the free jewellery box and head to the till. SA puts the two things through and I ask about using a balance of £5.01 from a gift card so she takes that off and although I handed over my pink £5 voucher when I checked it hadn't come off my receipt. So back to the manager and she manually put £5 back on to my debit card, by this time I think every SA and manager in the store had spoken to me at one stage or another :rotfl::rotfl:

So your definitely not "under the radar" in that branch;)

I know it's time for bed now, I've just read your name as Edinburgh glass and wondered whether you worked for them:o Definitely going this time nite nite!
  • ive noticed that they scan a barcode which then puts the five pound voucher on your receipt and then they give you one, on the receipts without one they didn't scan the barcode thing

That's completely correct. The yellow voucher screen only pops up when the customer is spending over £10 at the final total. This can be paid by cash, credit/debit card or gift voucher/card. Money off coupons do not count as part of the payment as these are put throughh before we finally total the sale, so whoever is handing out extra vouchers will be caught out as the barcode we scan logs how many vouchers we give so this can be compared to how many vouchers our store was sent which means that the store will run out of vouchers before more are delivered as the system still thinks there are some left.
Also, £5 vouchers etc shouldn't be given out when exchanging items as theoretically you already got your voucher when you bought the original item. It's the same concept as to why the buyer and the spender of gift cards both don't get points.
