    Please!!!

Where does it say in the highway code that when a vehicle approaching from behind with its hazards on is in an emergency?

I think it is just after the paragraph where it states that you must put your rear fog light on to blind someone if they hit you with their full beam for thirty seconds.
The driving you have described is indeed the actions of a first class moron. However your reaction was equally moronic and can not be condoned.
If his number plate had been legible and you had reported him you would have been lucky not to have been prosecuted for dangerous driving yourself.
I dont think anyone cares that your car can reach speeds of 140 mph or that you left him for dust when you floored it.
So let the grade A moron go next time. You wouldnt want to lower your driving standard to his would you - not again anyway:mad:

Dropping into the inside lane for a second or two then out again is not necessarily the highly dangerous maneuvre you're building it up to be though is it? ;)

Who ever used the word 'highly'!? Who is assuming things now! ;):rotfl:
    2 + 2 = 4
except for the general public when it can mean whatever they want it to.
  • We are human, we all make mistakes and we all drive differently depending on where we are trying to get to and why. Why not just curse to yourself about these idiots, get out of their way and live to drive another day! The police will evetually catch up with these morons, maybe not today, maybe not tomorrow but one day, failing that I'm sure there is a space saved for them in the mortuary!

But I enjoy complaining about these people.... plus I am happy to be someone who drives their blood pressure upwards!

How about rental prices!? Did you realise that, in most of the UK, IO cost is approx 70-90% of rental, even at this supposed peak? In NI rent is more like 30-50%.... so what's to happen to rents!?

  • I've seen rents rise sharply in my area-we rented a 4 bedroom house off my brother for £350 a month up to approx. May 2006 when we bought our own place. Now he gets £575 a month and it has never been empty, thus no 'voids'. Other 2 & 3 beds were £325 - £350 at the beginning of 2007 and are now £425 minimum and all let within a few weeks! Apartments don't appear to have increased as much as there are just so many of them now.

Ah but can the population support them if they double!?

  • But the government does via housing benefits paid to private landlords as there aren't enough housing executive homes but this is capped and will not rise as sharply as the landlords would like! For honest workers who knows what will happen-those on low wages will see those on benefits possibly living in better houses with better lifestyles and go !!!!!!! Inflation will play it's part too of course reducing the impact of these ineviatable rises a little!

Although IMHO opinions rents here are way too low! My fiancee lives in the East Midlands where salaries are similar to here but rent for similar properties is much higher and exclude council tax and water charges which are also much higher than our rates. Here you pay a much lower rent and the rates and water are included! People have to remember things like Northern Ireland people buy more brand new cars per capita than any other part of the UK and change their cars a lot more often so there is obviously spare cash out there!

People will just have to cut out some of their 'essential' spending like designer clothes, alcohol, cigarettes, holidays, gambling & take away food!!!

Perhaps this guy has learnt a lesson in road manners

There is one way of teaching a person like this a lesson and it involves the loss of a major limb or introduction of 6 feet of earth to their skyline.
