By the way, I also checked out B&Q kitchens and the build quality is nothing compared to Wickes kitchens.

Moben...far too expensive, think the sales people make a lot out of all the add ons they make you buy.[ Wickes do a very good range of rigid kitchens and the qualities good,

you could proberbly get a good design and appliances for say £3000 average kitchen, ( do use the design service, it,s free) and get them to recommend someone of the traders counter..all in plumbing, electrics etc ..or a local tradesman with a good reputation..definatly better than Kitchen Direct and Moben who are the same incidently, and definatly without the confusion and hassle..and it,s a pleasure to go out and choose..without the hassle of been held random in your home...good luck
  • I had a wickes kitchen designed due to the 65% off and 0% finance offer. The designer set about designing my kitchen and once happy we ordered it.
Delivery was rather good only a 2wk wait however taking delivery at 6:55am and checking off every single item was not fun!

A week later we had our own fitter as wickes wanted £1500 plus extras for electrician and plumber..our fitter was £540 all in!
Upon fitting the kitchen the nightmares began, the kitchen come flat packed and each cupboard and unit has to be built individually..they are not SQUARED! very poor attentioin to detail in the making.
Another nightmare happend when the fitter came to put wverything in its place...the back wall was 3cm too small and so base units were modified by our fitter! However this meant the oven chimney would not fit and we had to source and almost impossible sized one at an extra £100 to the one we already had!
The designer had also sent an end board for one of the base units that did not touch the floor or support the work surface!

Overall unimpressed with the whole thing..Having a new kitchen was suppossed to be an exciting time that turned into a headache and we were not fitting it!

Customer service line was also unhelpful as they only deal with the deliveries..had to go back in store and explain to the designer that she'd gone wrong!
