Hi broke22,
There are lots more ideas on this thread that should help:
Meatballs (and sauces)
I'll add your thread to that one later to keep the suggestions together.

Heres an idea, how about setting up a thread with recipes for good old homemade foods. I am sure that there are loads of you out there that have cheap, nutritional recipes that you can share with us that are also cost effective.
For instance, I would love to be able to make meatballs as the ones in the shops are so expensive and my son wont eat them with the sauce.
Food stuff can be sourced cheaper and I bet it tastes so much better when its made from scratch.
So if anyone has a recipe for meatballs I would love to hear.:j0 -
The OS types have already thought of this one - it got so big, that it became an indexed collection and can be found here:

I use the Nigella recipe for meatballs from feast which holds together nicely and I freeze mine after they are cooked. Make sure you don't stir them too much or they will break up. On the Amazon website for Jamie's Ministry of Food their is a video of him making meatballs might be worth a look HERE
Recipe 2 is the one you are after0 -
Well the last time I made some I put in my blender mince, onion, mushrooms, breadcrumbs and egg. Not sure of the quantity as I tend to throw it in and then add more breadcrumbs if it's too soggy. I only put it in the blender as my big two tend to complain if they find big bits of mushrooms or onions, although usually I don't put mushrooms in (had to use them up) and chop the onions finely and just mix it all in a bowl.
Sorry if I'm warbling lolFluttering about an inch off the ground, I may fly properly one day and soar in the clouds!

I found my meatballs fell apart at the frying stage, so now I grill them and stir into the sauce once they're done.weaving through the chaos...0
