Yes. That's the one. ( though I don't usually bother about the 1/2 pork 1/2 beef mince. Just use beef and it comes out fine. )

    thanks for that

Does anyone know if M&S still does those nice Galician meatballs?

I want to copy the recipe. I tried an online recipe for a spanish tomato sauce the other week and it ws nice but not as good as the M&S one.

You'll easily find the recipe I tried in google spanish tomato sauce for meatballs, something like 1kg tomatoes, olive oil, garlic, onion, sugar & basil I embellished it a little bit to make it my own.

So I'd really like to know the recipe for those M&S meatballs (sauce) which they did a couple of years ago.

This page is dated Dec 2006 so it seems they still do them

You can click on the meatballs to get a slightly better description. Funny they don't look as I remember them :) I'd also forgotten about the herb potato accompaniment.

I will have to drop by to get the ingredients off the pack, & maybe buy some again.

one thing that M&S is famed for is its lack of random ingredients that you cant get at home ( Xantham gum anyone?)

If they still do em, a browse of the ingredients should reap rewards!

    Howdy peeps

I'm thinking about making meatballs for dinner tonight... I don't know if anyone else does this, but if I don't know how to make something, I guess! My bf is resistant to change so he hates this, but when he tastes the finished product he is very happy :D

Anyway, I'm thinking, I could shape the meatballs out of mince, brown them in a pan to get the outsides cooked and then put them in an oven dish with some sauce and bake them for 20 mins. Then serve on top of pasta (we don't like everything mixed in during the cooking process).

Does anyone do them like this? Does it work?

Has anyone got a tried and tested method which may or may not be the same as above?

    Suggestions gratefully welcomed!
