argh - mine is messed up - we managed fridays chili but then saturday we didnt eat out as planned and sunday I forgot to take the chicken out so no roast and no chicken pie for tonight!
we improvised saturday and had chili leftovers and chips then sunday we had french stick cobs and tonight I think we'll have pasta with a sauce from the cupboard or meatballs and spaghetti. Thank goodness for my store cupboard!
how is everyone else doing?Blah0 -
Not doing too badly except my casserole tomorrow is pointless as OH is going to band practice so I'm on my own (will get naughty food in just for me!) and Wed we're off to see my parents, so those two will stay in the freezer!0

Dont worry hun! We all get days like that.
Tonight we have sausage, mash and beans as we're not feeling too well and just managed to peel and chop spuds. No way I could of done the batter for the toad in hole and chop the veg up. Its been a bad day today health wise and could of easily ordered take out, but TBH, it would have taken just as much energy and time....and money!!

Doing well here, chicken is almost done and the roasties are looking pretty impressive if I do say so myself ! Managing to stick to meal plan so far (still got 5 days to go though lol).
Am wondering whether we can make the ex-lge chicken I bagged for £2 (reduced) do tonight, tomorrow (curry) and some chicken and stuffing sandwiches for lunch tomorrow (5 of us but only 3 will have chick sandwiches)!
Some great meal ideas on here too so thanks everyone for that - will be pinching a few ideas for our plan next week !:jWeight loss to date 1st 11.5lb :j0 -

Sorry for quoting myself, but it has gone to pot already and I needed to remind myself and pull in the reigns.0 -
I found some chopped cooked chicken breast in the freezer last night so we're having chicken pie tonight - hopefully I'll remember to take the mince out of the freezer for the cottage pie!
Good luck with getting back on track for those that need itBlah0 -
Well, this week is really going wrong. I have done 2 unplanned shops in spite of the fact that on Sunday I thought I had everything for at least a week!
Thurs: Oh dear! haven't sorted that out yet! Might end up with eggs!
In the end had spicy pork burger from the freezer (dd vegi substitute)
Friday: Lentil/Veggie lasagne Just had the vegi mix with pasta as time was short
Saturday: DH is employee of the month, going to Loch Fyne with £100 to spend. It's iniquitous, but will enjoy it nonetheless! This went t**s up as well. Had £100 to spend, dh planned seafood platter with crab and I knew I was going to have lobster. They didn't have any, so ordered crab cakes which were nasty and they were burnt and cold (how do they do that?). Declined more, but chef/boss turned up requesting I try another lot. These were cold too. Made him put his finger in the middle! Had starter portion of mussels (had already eaten first lot of veg as they were hot and OK) and more veg.
Bill "only" came to £65, so negotiated that I could go in later and collect £35 worth of wet fish! It went on the bill that will be handed in to dh's company.
In spite of that good fortune, I really would rather have had a normal meal out, with food as it should be. I find eating out difficult sometimes, noisy environment etc etc and at this time of year I'm particularly sensitive to it (I have SAD). Let's see what's in the package of fish!
Sunday:Tortilla Beany Bake... not tried before, from Veg Socy website Still not had this. Forgot I had a rehearsal in the afternoon, so had to have a quick meal... had the turkey and ham in sauce that has been bumped for about 3 weeks!
Monday: Spag Bol, reg or vegi Jacket potatoes, as we'd already had veggi bol bol the other day
Tues: Burgers Spicy (pork or Vegi Bean) and Potato wedges, trimmings Have already had these. Plan B was Fish (see above) but we have another family here for tea and I needed to be organised... so Delia's Chicken Basque and vegi sheps Pie for vegi folk. Trifle (stuff left from Sat's trifles) and APple crumble (from huge haul of reduced stuff on Sun at Morrisons)
Wed: cassoulet (Duck and sausages in there. DD away) This might stay the same!
Thurs: SOup and Pudding (either P and Ham or chicken), treacle sponge
Friday: Tuna? Not sure how. In the Freezer. Suggestions welcome.
Saturday: Pasta bake, maybe ham and turkey in it?"Knowledge is knowing that a tomato is a fruit. Wisdom is not putting it in a fruit salad"
