    Hi Angel Cake,

My Amex debt got passed to RMA. I know some people have had problems with them but they were ok with me. They called me and took my payplan details. Payplan told them my plan wouldn't be set up for another month so they called back and asked politely if I could pay £10, just until the plan was set up. I did this by online banking and they called when they received it and told me they would deal with payplan from now on as long as they received the offer from them within 4 weeks. They said they would call occasionally, but I've not heard from them for 2 months now.

Thanks loopylu. Can you also tell me what documents she has to provide to PayPlan. Will they need her bank statements etc?

Well I'm with CCCS but they didn't want bank statements so I doubt that Payplan will. I just had to send a copy wageslip and statements for all creditors.

Just to confirm what Loopylu said. Payplan didn't ask me for Bank Statements. In fact they didn't ask for anything other than for me to sign the paperwork they sent me confirming all the details I gave them were correct.

CCCS only wanted the most recent wage slips and a letter detailing our creditors and how much we owe.

Thanks for your help guys. She couldn't start the DMP until she had made 3 payments to one of her creditors. The third payment is being made on the 1st June so soon after that she's hoping to get it all sorted.

    2) A nasty calling card from RMA on behalf on MBNA. They are sending someone round on Monday ! EEKKK!!!
They wont send anyone round, the card is just cleverly worded to make you think that they will. Something along the lines of 'we will be calling on you on monday between the hours of 8am and 8pm'. What they actually mean is that someone will be telephoning you between those hours.

I've had allsorts of threats from MBNA, I got that fed up with them that I asked for a copy of my CCA and as it appears not to be enforceable they can now go whistle! I shall see them in court:D
I'm with Payplan and have been for nearly 2 years now and they were fine with me suspending payment to MBNA too.

    Cats x

Just thought I would post as feeling down tonight.

Hi Angel Cake You have taken the biggest step already by acknowledging your debt :T .

I am just think of this as a hurdle race and I am going to concentrate on one hurdle at a time. Also the people on this thread will help you over each hurdle

It was good to hear that your DH had already phoned them by the time you got home, I am hoping mine would do the same. I am dreading the phone calls the worst, I suffer from panic attacks so trying not to think about it just yet.

We received our paperwork from CCCS today, so pulled out all the paperwork they need and going to send off tomorrow. Also changed our minds about the token payments after reading more posts today, so changed them all to £5 each and going to transfer the extra cash into the new account ready for our 1st DMP payment in July.

Keep your chin up and we will get through it together.

Well I have had and feel really wobbely:( DH is the one with the DMP starting but we have a joint account with Abbey with a 3K overdraft this was going to go on the DMP but today CCCS has called DH saying this could be a problem as they could come after me for the money as it is a joint account. We did ask about this before we went forward with the DMP and was told it wasn't a problem and they wouldn't come after me which I thought was strange at the time. My wages get paid into a different account so his wages are the only ones being put into abbey but still no go, so the savings I had and everything else is going to have to be put to pay off the overdraft. I know in the long run it will be 3k less on the debt but it was just nice knowing we had some emergency money:(

Thanks Shazand, I too am dreading the calls, but like you say, one day at a time.
Do not let the calls effect your health. Only answer the phone if you feel up to it. I read an article yesterday about these calls and it seems most of them are on auto dial via computer and only trip into a 'human' when you pick the phone up! Easy answer, dont pick up!!! You deal with it when you feel able
    Chin up yourself
