When i sent my token payments off i got a letter back from Lloyds saying thanks for your token payments we have added it to your account so i rang them to ask whether they were accepting my DMP with CCCS and they told me they was but i have not got it in writing .

Nothern rock & MBNA i have got a letter saying they accept

Lloyds credit card i have not heard back they did not write to me they wrote to CCCS saying they do not accept .

CCCS say you do not always hear back they just take the payments .

Northern Rock & MBNA i think i only have it in writing because i rang them and asked could they put it in writing .

I am only 1 month into my DMP I did not think that i would get decisions so quickly back from creditors .

hi everyone this is my first post, but have been reading with interest for weeks now. you have all been inspiration to me. I had my lightbulb moment in feb just gone .we knew (dh and me) had alot of debt but just kept our heads frimly in the sand never adding it all up!!!!! when i did i felt sick.credit cards paid for food etc.in fact we wee both in tears. Its the old old story of spending more than earning, taking up offers of loans, cc, etc etc anyway I rang debt help line. the wonderful lady on there made me feel energized. and I no longer feel a failure.we have been accepted with CCCS and TODAY MADE THE FIRST PAYMENT. I have got to say I felt so proud. We have a long way to go with 12 creditors (90k gulp) but at last it feels like theres a light at the end of the tunnel.(I can see the glint!!). the best thing for me is being happy to come home not worry about letters and being happy to answer the phone. A BIG THANK YOU to you all for helping me get switched on so to speak.I am so proud to be dealing with my debts

Good morning gonna be! For the record, your post is an inspiration to me as even though I am 4 months in with my DMP I feel exactly the same as you with letters, phone calls etc. I too, felt physically sick when I took my head from out of the sand. How good does it feel to have cash in your purse? Can't measure that feeling! We have absolutely done the right thing. Welcome!

    Hi Gonna be

we are now six months into our DMP. We owed approx 89k to 15 creditors.
We now owe approx 84k. We were in the same situation as you [paying for food etc with credit cards] and I can honestly say the DMP has been the best thing ever.
    good luck and well done

thankyou for your replys :) will creditors write to me or cccs?>

(I think carlos answered your question just under it ;))

Depends entirely on their moods! ;)

When CCCS sent them the proposal for payment:
One rang me to accept the DMP and confirmed in writing.
One never replied to any letter at all I sent but later claimed to have told CCCS they had agreed the DMP for 6 months.
    One wrote to accept.
One never wrote anything or told me anything - so I've no idea.

So it does seem to depend.

When I sent off token payments, they cashed them and never contacted me at all, except one who rang to ask for the rest of the minimum payment ;)
