Lovely to see Sue back.0

Do not let my youngest hear you say that, he was devastated to learn that I'm not expecting to go back to work before he goes back to school and will therefore be on his case about the trail of detritus he leaves in his wake (socks and shirts on the lounge floor, glasses, crisp packets, glasses, yoghourt pots, day trip garbage in the hallway etc etc et) but also ON THE COMPUTER when he wants to be.pavlovs_dog wrote:nice to see you around sue, looking forward to having you back full time

Hi Sue lovely to see you about. Jellyhead sent me a PM the night before she went in to be induced (which I think was Wednesday) but from what she said they were going to do various things to set her off so she didn't know what day she would have baby on. So far I haven't heard anymore.Savvy_Sue wrote:'cos I shouldn't be up at this time of night, but this really is me, I've had a few really bad days but went to doc yesterday and spent this afternoon at hospital where they have sorted me out some more, apparently I don't have water on the brain but I may have a mild dose of non-viral, non-bacterial, meningitis, which is quite common after they drill a hole in your head, and the treatment it responds to - no, they don't know why! - is STEROIDS! Well, it works for me. It's basically inflammation, swelling, which makes sense considering it felt as if the top of my brain was trying to escape out of the top of my head at full velocity. And the scar's behind my left ear!
And I can now reveal that I have had removed "we'd be gobsmacked if it wasn't" a benign meningioma. ("gobsmacked" = technical medical term for "we told you so but we could of course only be 99% sure from the outside looking in"). A posterior fossa mengingioma to be precise, and if any of you are sad enough to look it up you will see that if you're going to get a mengioma, this is not a bad place to have one. I was very fortunate to land up with the consultant (and team) who usually look after the very nasty ones, so I guess this was a stroll in the park for them, even though that stroll took about 6 hours ...
Not enough brain power for regular browding, but touched by all your thoughts and good wishes.
Love to you all
Savvy Sue on Steroids!
PS Completely off topic, but if Jellyhead (or anyone else) has had that baby yet, a link to the annoucement would be enormously appreciated!0 -
Sue, will this do?
