I normally move mine every year or so to get a good rate, however, I've just tried to open accoutns with Alliance & Leicester & ING Direct and both wont allow me to transfer until after 5th April when I pay in next year's allowance.
Anyone else found this? I've never had this problem in previous years. Bloody banks!0 -

If you have over £9000 in an ISA why not transfer to Lloyds and get 6.5%. You wont be able to get this rate unless you leave your money in the account for one year so leave some emergency money in your existing ISA.

You can get it out (if you had too), you will loose 90 days interest though - T&C's 5.1 (not on web)."Every Pounds A Prisoner "

Thanks folks. Lloyds looks very good. Do they charge an exit fee though? I'm surprised they don't get any mention in Martin's ISA page0

Yes you can, you could also transfer the YBS ISA to the new one if you've found a better rate (as long as new ISA accepts transfer's in).
Meaning 2007/8's allowance. And then use 2008/9's in another with £3,600."Every Pounds A Prisoner "
