I've got 25K in a ISA that has dropped to 2.0%. What ISA gives the best rate and allows transfers of 25k?

I could possible fix for a year but would not like a longer fix.

    thanks.

That's interesting so I assume that your old ISA was made up of previous ISA's and part of it was 2012/13. If it was all of this years ISA you would not have been able to split it !

Yes I was allowed to put the older years into a fixed and kept this years in an instant access :D

True for most providers, but Nationwide would allow you to hold your current year's deposits across more than one of their ISA offerings.

neenaww - - if you haven't yet signed a transfer form, you haven't yet committed to the transfer. Just trash the form and instead go to the better provider.

No I havent signed anything as it was done over the phone, they have sent me a form but say I only need to sign and return it if any of the info is wrong?

    hmh, what provider is this?

I have not ever come across a provider who would do an ISA transfer from another provider without a signed transfer form.

I was hoping to open a Halifax 3y fixed 3% ISA on-line then transfer in my ISA from another provider that matures on April 17th, but when I try online it won't let me. Says I'm not eligible.

I also have a 12/13 ISA with them but have not paid in any new money this year, I just transferred an old one into it last April. I put my new money for the year into the other ISA that matures soon.

It would be my 13/14 ISA but maybe I can't have it for then. Looks like I have to wait until tomorrow now and see what there is then!?

You cannot do that transfer yourself. You must ask Halifax to do it for you.

Nope, not really, sorry - if it was at the same bank, telephone transfers are possible. Not sure what the business with the form was about.

If the ISA you transferred to is an instant access one, you can transfer againas soon as the other transfer is complete (which it should be by now if it is an internal transfer). If it's a fixed-term one, you are committed unless you can talk them out of it.
