  • Hi I have opened a can of tuna and only used a little of it. Can I freeze the rest? Would it be ok for sandwiches once defrosted?

    Thanks

well, if you going to use it for sandwiches, I know you can freeze tuna sandwiches mixed with mayo & cream cheese. Take them with you in the morning and they're thawed by lunchtime. If you usually add cucumber, take that separately and add later.

Didn't there use to be a thread on Sandwich fillings that could be frozen? I've searched all morning and can't find it.

I tried to freeze a portion of the spilt pea and coconut dhal I got from here. Just went in the freezer to grab some HM soup to defrost and it seems to look all dry. Is it still ok?

  • Hi

I have half a tube of Korma curry paste leftover and was wondering if I could freeze this?

    Does coconut milk freeze too?

    Thanks,
    Hayley

    Hi Hayley,

I've frozen coconut milk loads of times with no problems. As an aside, when I feeling a healthier / less flush, I quite often substitute coconut milk in recipes with normal milk and just reduce the sauce a bit more. Hope that helps!

    Hi everyone.

I did my usual big shop at the supermarket yesterday, and found some rather nice sausages in the clearance chiller, because their use-by date was the same date as the purchase date. When I got home I bunged them straight in the freezer.

I should have thought about this before, but should they be alright after defrosting?
  • They won't be any better or worse than when you froze them - hth.

They will be fine. As you frooze them you would have delayed the use by date so as long as use straight away they will be fine.
