Quick Questions on reheating

Yes you can do the same with chicken.
I always eat leftovers from the slowcooker a day or two later or freeze portions.
The only thing is, I always take it out the crock pot and into another container to allow it to cool quicker as the pot remains warm for ages and having warm food sitting around for ages untill it's cool enough to go in the fridge is a good breeding groud for bacteria.0 -
ive merged this with our reheating thread

I have just had some fried scallops with rice, and very nice it was too!
But there is too much, so would like to have the rest for lunch at work tomorrow.
If I let the scallops cool down, then put in the fridge overnight to then heat up in the microwave tomorrow at lunch, will they be ok?0 -
I reheat leftover prawns from my local takeaway, so don't see why not, if properly nuked first. Don't blame me though if you get a bad belly,0

I have a scallop and leek dish in the freezer from tesco and the scallops are cooked in it, so on this basis I'd say it'd be fine, make sure nice and hot though...
Very decadent lunch for you tmorrow0 -
I do this with scallop, prawns etc and have all been fine, next day properly reheated.
Enjoy your lunch tomorrow:)0 -

I bet there is a thread on this... BUT I did search and it's all about Reheating rather then reheating multiple times.
So sorry if I've started a thread which already exsists.
Basically I made some Chicken and Lentil Soup at the weekend. Which I froze into portions for work. Today I reheated a portion until the soup was boiling, but only managed to eat half.
Can I put the uneaten half back in the fridge and heat again tomorrow???
Please advise. We spend money we don't have, on things that we don't need, to impress people we don't like. I don't and I'm happy! Mortgage Free Wannabe :dance:Overpayments Made: £5400 - Interest Saved: £11,550 - Months Saved: 240 -

NO! You can't reheat something meaty/fishy that has been reheated already, unless you have booked a space in the bathroom in case you're taken ill!0
