We transferred our mini cash ISAs from Kent Reliance to Lloyds TSB yesterday and asked specifically if we could transfer another mini cash ISA (with NSI) later as we needed some of the cash for building works and therefore didn't want to move the whole lot there and then. The lady went to talk to someone else and came back with the answer "no".

It looks like there isn't a way to do a second transfer at a later date (and presumably this applies to TOISAs as well), although I am going to try again once the first transfer has gone through.

Thanks for that Littleblackcat, I am sure that can't be right, you must be able to transfer in other ISA's even if you have to go to a branch to do it?

It is so annoying that the Lloyds staff all seem to have different ideas on what you can and can't do with their products, hope someone on here can put us straight with this

Just popped into my local Lloyds bank to open up a fixed rate isa. Went into a little room, lady photocopied my driving licence and statements from Abbey and Barclays ISAs which I wanted trensferred in.

Everything was done on the computer, and at the end, she showed me my newly opened account on the screen (with a £0 balance until the transfers are made).

I had to sign a form to agree to a credit check. She asked a manager who said that it is only a verification check and not a full credit check. I also had to sign two pre-printed forms to authorise the transfers from Abbey and Barclays.

Very efficient, and knew what she was doing. Took about 30-40 mins. Said that it can take anything from a week to a month to transfer.

Had a chat with the advisor about their current accounts and mortgages, but it was because I'd expressed an interest, but no hard sell at all.

I have been sent to pre-filled in transfer forms and one blank one so you must be able to transfer at a later date. If anyone wants it then let me know.

I don't suppose you could scan the blank one as a pdf file and link on here so anyone can download it? ;)

Sure! Let me just fire up the PC with the scanner on it :)

Another question. The 2 pre-filled transfer forms that I have been sent only have the bank name and not the full address on it. Do I need to write in the full address?
  • Yes, you should fill in the full address because they have to send the form to the bank you want to transfer from.

Thought so. Time to open up the envelope again!

Here is the scan of the transfer form and the pdf version:

Its not brilliant but they do accept 'photocopies' and I can have another go at making it lighter if people think its too dark.

This is the suggested official goverment ISA transfer form

I like this one which can be downloaded from Alliance and Leicester and is nice and comprehensive. Lloyds take note!!

Thanks for that KTF, much appreciated, it is a little dark but at least it tells me that you can transfer into the ISA, I looked at the pdf form on their website for an ordinary Mini Cash ISA and it is similar but not exactly the same, this one asks if you want to transfer part or all the amount.

    All

I've got an appointment at lunchtime today to transfer my M+S ISA to the Lloyds one...when I checked yesterday I realised i hadn't got the 9k in to get the 6.5% so transferred some cash in to make it over £9k...question is my statement details show the old amount so when I take this in to TSB will this be a problem e.g. do i need to wait until I get a new balance statement before I can transfer?

    Any help appreciated
