I opened mine in branch 4th April-to date absolutely no correspondence, my bank haven't heard a peep from Lloyds and I've been fobbed off in branch by some spiv who implied I was being inpatient. I feel a letter coming on but don't know who it should go to! (and would it take them 30 days to open it? )

I wrote a formal complaint to LTSB (they've 'mislaid' 13.6k plus of my transferred ISA funds since March, despite acknowledging receipt of the said funds) - handed in to the branch two weeks ago and have received two letters since, both indicating that my complaint is being investigated.
  • I'm in the same boat. ISA opened on the 19th march. Funds transfer from exisitng provider on or around the 3rd April, but still no funds showing.

I have started a formal complaint. They are just overwhelmed I think.
    Wife's transfer has gone through.

In this day and age, why is everything reliant on one provider sending a cheque through the post, rather than it all being done electronically!!

Anyone, you wont be losing any interest (Lloyds confirm it will be back dated), but it is just the hassle and the worry factor of what has happened to large sums of money

Thanks Sloughflint and boobbby - yes I already have 9k in the ISA, last tax year and during the 6.5% period, so your answer is helpful - will use this ISA for paying in more - ta.

I feel compensation will be coming your way !! Dont accept their first offer but ask them to take into account all the worry and sleepless nights !!

The most they will offer will be £100-if you work out loss of interest, plus all the hassel, is it realy worth it?, I deeply regret going for this ISA,( and ive been offerd the £100.)

What hassle/loss of interest? Writing a letter of complaint and a couple of visits to the branch are hardly major issues and the documentary evidence that I have, both from LTSB and the former ISA Manager, regarding the transfer of the funds, is virtually indisputable.

One of my transfers (well in excess of £9,000) reached the LTSB FRISA within a reasonable time frame, so the 6.5% rate has already been achieved - any compensation will basically be a bonus.

They didn't lose my transfer application, they just don't appear to be able to locate the money, after acknowledging its receipt - it's probably been sucked into a 'black hole' which momentarily appeared in their ISA department's offices!

The "1 month maximum" promised means nothing as they just say "We haven recieved anything from your previous ISA holder":rotfl:
