Wow, impressed by all the research here, but still so confusing!!!
I've got over £9k in the ISA now - anyone know if I can pay in this years £3600 and still get 6.5% on it?
I've had a long trawl through the pages of this post but couldn't see an answer.0 -

See post "764"...other ISA's available at about 6.25%0 -
boobbby, I read the last post differently to you. If yakface already has the LTSB FRISA with over 9k in it and applied while it was still at 6.5%, then s/he should get 6.5% on a further 3.6k placed in it.
Otherwise not to bother applying.0 -

I agree...he will be able to add up to 3.6k to the FRISA IF he opened it in the previous tax year0 -
coming up to 30 days since I applied (April 10th).
Account is open but no sign of any transfer; it doesn't look like theyve sent anything to my current bank. Also recieved absolutely no correspondance from LTSB.
Have spoken to branch, they said they'd chase it up and get back to me; that was over a week ago. I'll give them another ring to see where im at this week.
If it reaches 30 days with no action I will send a letter of complaint to branch and head office.0 -
As explained in other posts the 30 days is not the maximum overall time it can take, its only the maximum time that you current ISA provider has to send the details to you new one, so you just end up with one blaming the other.0

The only letters which I received from LTSB, in March, were to acknowledge that two tranches of transferred funds had been received, they certainly didn't write to say that they had contacted the previous ISA Managers.0 -
FWIW my story so far....
Applied 9th April.
Got two identical letters from Lloyds dated 14th April saying they had applied to my previous providers for the ISA funds.
Today (6th May) received letter from one of the providers saying they had sent the monies to Lloyds. I rang the other provider, today ,and they said they were in the process of transferring the money.
No money showing in my Lloyds account yet!0 -
I opened my account on the 10th April, but only received a letter on the 28th April saying that they had asked for the transfer of funds from Abbey.
What on earth were they doing for 18 days???
So it'll be two months before the money is likely to be transferred across. So two months on 5% instead of 6.5%, and only 10 months at 6.5% instead of 12.
Someone's making money, but it ain't me!0
