No, this government or any subsidiary (DWP) can't keep track of there own data nevermind data held at an airport.
It almost sounds like your comparing our government as a competent organisation, laughable.0 -

erm, so the DWP have no way of finding out if someone has gone abroad in between signing days? they must find out somehow, otherwise why would anyone bother declaring their holidays?0 -

I have just been abroad for a week while claiming contribution based jsa.
The holiday was booked and paid for long before I knew that I was losing my job. Fully inclusive and spent nothing whilst there.
I have ended up not receiving benefit for almost 2 weeks due to waiting periods. I had to sign off and then reclaim.
Whilst away I had 1 job interview by phone and applied for 3 others. What I do is very specialist and worldwide. I am just as capable of job seeking from Africa as I am from the uk.
The system is all a bit silly really. The extra paperwork involved (plus 3 additional visits to js) probably cost more than the £65. Nowadays people apply for jobs on line- does it really matter where they are at the time?June challenge £100 a day £3161.63 plus £350 vouchers plus £108.37 food/shopping saving
July challenge £50 a day. £ 1682.50/1550
October challenge £100 a day. £385/£31000 -
Hi,
I have been on JSA for about 2 months now, its the first time I have been on it so not sure about the ins and outs. I am going on holiday with my parents for 2 weeks on 29th June to Turkey, my sign on day is Thursday 30th June. When should I tell them because I feel that if I tell them now then they will think I won't be looking for immediate work in the lead up to the holiday when I genuinely am.
Many Thanks0 -
Next time you sign on will be fine.0
