I'm having an easy day today too. I've got a very poorly baby curled up in my left arm at the moment, with a sky high temperature and a nasty cough. :( So I'm pretty much planning on sitting on the sofa all day and cuddling her, pausing occasionally to post on here.

Hope everyone else has a good day, and best wishes to Ste's dad.

    Hope he's ok Mrs S. x

Guys can I have your opinion on something?

As you know my little girl has all manner of special needs. And in many ways we try to treat her as normally as possible. But, just lately her older sister is spending her pocket money pretty earrings and the like from Claires. Now, Amber is a real girly pink girl and she wants what her sister has.

She's figured out that Jas has holes in her ears to put things in, but she doesn't. She's become totally obsessed by it and tonight sobbed her little heart out because her clip on ones keep falling off.

I really don't know what to do, I can't explain to her that it'll hurt, I've tried, she just says she wants holes. If I did take her I'm not sure we'd end up with 2 ears pierced because she'd realise it hurts then. On the other hand, does she have the right to choose this for herself?

I know all things considered this is a really small problem, but that's life with a special needs child, little things can become major issues.

    What do you think?
